Here is a look at some of the top forwards who caught our eye at the FSCB Tournament.
Evie Caruso (Saxony Lutheran): A 6’2 2024 forward who had a strong tournament in leading Saxony to the championship game. She was really a factor in the finals on defense with her shot blocking. She’s mobile and she moved well inside the opposing team’s zone defense. She finished well inside with a nice touch.
Mya Gillespie (Delta): A 2024 forward who is a solid player with good fundamentals. She is a good screener who passes out of the post well. She runs the floor well to establish her position in the post. She also has the baseline 15 footer on point.
Reagan Howe Reagan Howe 6'0" | PF Oak Ridge | 2025 State MO (Oak Ridge): A 6’0 2025 lefty who surpassed the 1,000-point mark during the tournament. She’s very tough from 15 feet in as she can hit the jumper or attack the basket, especially when she gets to her dominant hand. She can also grab the rebound and lead the fast break.
Jada Griggs Jada Griggs 5'10" | PF Thomas W Kelly | 2024 MO (Kelly): A 5’9 2024 forward who earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team with her tough all-around play. She can play a physical game around the basket with her strength and positioning. She catches well and she can score off the post up or off the drive. She also has a nice runner in the lane.
Rachel Hellebusch (Meadow Height): A 6’0 2024 lefty who has good moves and a nice touch around the basket. She can score off the drive very well when she gets to her dominant left hand.
Cheyenne Tonjum (Meadow Heights): A 6’0 2024 who displayed a nice touch off the glass inside and the ability to hit the elbow jumper. Her instincts on the defensive end were also good as she could dart the passing lanes and also steal post entry passes.
Lilyan Landis Lilyan Landis 6'2" | PF Scott City | 2025 State MO (Scott City): A 6’1 2025 forward who is very effective in the post as she can score with either hand. She has good mobility and she passes the ball and rebounds well.
