Secrest was one of the toughest, most physical players at the showcase and showed it on both sides of the ball. She showed she can hit some shots from the mid-range and even whipped out some crazy dribble combos at times, but really excelled being a physical defender, finisher, and rebounder. She’s a tone-setter and was yet another Auburn Trojan playing with an edge that helped them come out with the victory over Liberty.
Annabelle Le

It was a pretty physical game at times and one player who fought through the contact and kept coming was Le. She operated from the post and the wings, showing some good footwork and toughness to fight through tight defense and get buckets. Le did a great job aggressively curling off pin down screens and getting the rock with momentum to the hoop. She reads defenders off screens well and showed she can step out and bury some threes too.
The freshman was a force on Saturday and showed why she’s one of the more promising 2027s in the state. Nice post moves, strength with the dribble inside, and the quick ability to feel out her defender helped Borden establish herself down low. She also showed she can get it done on the perimeter with some good moves 1v1 to break down her defender and get downhill with good footwork through traffic.
Wooten has some handles and was able to get to her spots and get a lot of shots up from the middle of the defense. She was all over the paint all night and showed some skill and determination backing girls down and playing with a good mix of finesse and power.

Lynden Christian and Tahoma had to really fight for buckets against each other and Shumate was big force for the Lyncs at the hoop. She was ripping down boards on both ends, blocking shots, and was getting some tough buckets with defenders draped all over her at the rim. She’s a tough player who made the most of her minutes and provided a big boost inside.
