Deniya
Deniya was a former DMV top ranked player before moving around the country and ending up at IMG in Florida. All goes to show that the eye’s don’t lie when seeing middle schoolers. At 6’2″ she used her length well to rise up and shoot over contesting defenders. She showed a nice handle and the ability to blow by defenders on her way to the bucket.
Kiyomi is a walking scoring machine. She dropped 42 in one game and with her light always on green she probably could average 50 even with defenses keying on her. She is highly skilled with the ball and can turn simple plays into highlight reels. Her range begins once she crosses mid court.
Leah has been a threat from beyond the arc for as long as I can remember. She was a staple in the top 10 in the DMV before flying south for the winter. She is showing that she has more tricks in her arsenal than just a great shot. She can control the flow from the point and she was able to break defenders down off the dribble as well.
The Florida sun has been good to Kelis. She was always fast and noted as one of the fastest point guards in the DMV. Now she can do it all, shoot, drive, rebound, find open teammates and yeah, she is still very fast. She has become one of the top players in the country in the course of a couple of years.
London’s bag has picked up a lot of tricks. Her handle has immensely improved and she puts the ball on the floor with confidence. Her crossover dribble was a thing of beauty and very deceptive giving my camera man fits too keep her in the frame. She is strong on the boards and is physical when attacking. She makes her free throws when fouled and has a good consistent three point shot.
