Alessa Soto
Alessa Soto
Soto was the engine for Ephrata against Chelan and the rhythm of their offense looked a lot different when she was out on the floor. She worked a nice connection to forward Addison Mills, feeding her in the post, working passing angles and recognizing when to lob it in or go low with the bounce pass. She’s an effective playmaker who controls the pace and was getting a lot of teammates involved.
Aria Cornwall
Aria Cornwall
The Capital point guard is fast with the ball and showed a really nice feel for passing on the go. Whether she was dishing ahead on the break or finding teammates off of drives, she put passes on target and with good zip. They had a tough game against Peninsula but Cornwall was a reliable creator and should be a driving force for Capital this year.
Sadie Graves
Sadie Graves
Graves is a scrappier guard who likes to get in the mix, isn’t afraid of a little contact, and showed a decent little handle to break pressure in the backcourt against Redmond. She didn’t shoot a ton outside of the paint but when she did, she displayed a nice stroke and even had some good footwork to create space and shake off the defender.
Isabel Schneider
Isabel Schneider
Schneider is a gamer. She plays hard all over the court and made a big chase down block at one point in their game against Blanchet. Overall, she plays with good tempo, can shoot the three pretty well, and is a reliable ballhandler in the backcourt.
