Whenever you have a kid who excels in the FVA from a non-traditional power, you notice. For a kid who’s been the main focus of a program fighting their way up the FVA, Hanson has found things that have worked for her, going against defenses who’ve keyed in on her with multiple scholarship-level players. She’s direct and doesn’t waste time with the ball in her hands. Hanson’s directness has led to her being a near 20-point scorer thus far in the season and one of the best passers in the FVA as they prepare to get to the meat of their conference schedule.
Natalie Meaux Natalie Meaux 5'5" | PG Franklin | 2024 State WI
I talked about Meaux plenty this summer, with good reason. However, an untimely and unlucky injury may have taken her senior year away. Regardless of that injury, Meaux is one of the best point guards in her class. There aren’t many kids who can put their stamp on a game like Meaux. She’s a relentless scorer, a willing passer, attacks the boards, and is one of the more competitive people you’ll meet. I hope I don’t say this too much, because when I say if you’re looking for a winner and a kid who’ll make the most of an opportunity, take a chance on Meaux because she’s the kind of kid every coach wants in their building.
Brenna Gehri Brenna Gehri 5'7" | PG Oshkosh West | 2024 State WI
The Oshkosh West guard is one of the more intriguing kids in her class. She’s a versatile guard with loads of athleticism and is one of the most disciplined defenders in the state. Gehri doesn’t look to score 20 points every night, but she could. I love how poised she is on the floor. No matter when I’ve seen her play, she’s always under control and has a composure about her game that I feel like coaches would appreciate.
Payton Grenzer Payton Grenzer 6'2" | C New Holstein | 2024 State WI
You won’t find many kids with Grenzer’s size and touch at any level. The New Holstein post has been consistently productive in the past two seasons, which I feel could be useful for small schools looking for a kid to dominate the area around the basket. I’ve always appreciated her ability to score with her back to the basket and skill for grabbing rebounds in her area.
