Eldorado SG Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM drops 41 points in season opener @ Manzano
The Eagles defeated the Monarchs 74-27 behind a stellar performance from its star guard. In addition to the ’40 piece’ explosion, Hines totaled 6 reb and 4 stl.
CG Elizabeth Buendia with a near triple-double vs Dexter
Lovington won convincingly, 75-6, as all five starters finished with 10 or more points. Buendia led the way with 19 points, 7 reb and 8 ast for the Wildcats.
SG Zarai Lewis Zarai Lewis 5'7" | SG Clovis | 2024 State NM and F Kailyn Jefferson Kailyn Jefferson 5'7" | SF Clovis | 2024 State NM lead Wildcats to a 57-41 win vs the Storm
The Wildcats were in control essentially from the tip, controlling the tempo and getting the the charity stripe often. Lewis finished with 24 points (8/19 FG) 9 reb, 2 stl while Jefferson had 11 points (5/11 FG) 9 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl
PF Caitlin Turnbow Caitlin Turnbow 5'10" | PF Organ Mountain | 2024 State NM from Organ Mountain reaches 1,000 career points
Turnbow, a Fort Lewis signee, reached the milestone on Dec. 2 vs the Hobbs Eagles. The Senior Forward now looks to help get the Knights back on track and get into the win column.
Capital City Tournament
An eight team tournament held from Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 in Santa Fe, N.M.
Champions: Rio Rancho Rams — Went 3-0 with wins over Los Alamos (56-45) ST. Mikes (52-17) and Cleveland (54-40).
The tandem of Makenna Lee Makenna Lee SF Rio Rancho | 2024 State NM and Lilly Martinez has the potential to be a really solid 1-2 punch this season.
Jerry Richardson Invite
Held in Shiprock, N.M.
Champions: Bloomfield Bobcats — Went 3-0 with wins over Navajo Prep (60-25) Whitehorse (43-3) and Shiprock (56-18).
Led by the dynamic duo of Danielle Johnson Danielle Johnson 5'8" | PF Bloomfield | 2024 State NM and Aliya Quintana Aliya Quintana PF Bloomfield | 2024 State NM , the Bobcats are a team to watch in 4A!
Hatch Tournament
Held in Hatch, N.M.
Champions: Belen Eagles — Went 3-0 with wins over Lordsburg (47-40) MVCS (42-34) and Santa Teresa (44-32).
The trio of Analeigha Wright, Danilynn Bob Danilynn Bob 5'7" | SF Belen | 2026 State NM and Jaelynn Bob Jaelynn Bob PF Belen | 2025 State NM are combining for over 32 PPG for the Eagles.
