I know many can’t go that far back but Southlake Carroll has 4 sisters in their starting lineup, most recently Fairfield had the Brackens crew of 4 as sisters and cousins helped lead them to state but all in the starting lineup is just something I can’t remember seeing so here ya go
Jordan did a good job of creating her shot and knocking down with a hand in her face, nice elevation on her jumper, mid to long range yet I already knew that. I enjoyed watching her rebound and go coast to coast to score or dish yet she also showed me the “stop and pop” in transition. Her body control after contact was solid as she attacked the basket with either hand but she also overpowered smaller guards around the basket to score. She played solid defense in the set as well as applied “on the ball” pressure in the fullcourt
Highlights
Jordan is an athletic guard that does a good job of using her athleticism on both ends and let me start with her “on the ball” pressure baseline to baseline because that helps to create turnovers. She has a nice first step to attack the basket and she did a good job of finishing after contact but her setting the defender up and drop the jumper while being tightly guarded was nice, yet she also showed she could come off the screen and nail it. Her court vision was also nice, in the set and the open court
Highlights
Jordan dazzled me a little as I saw the crossover in traffic both in transition as well as in the halfcourt but that move, coupled with the slight HEZ at times gave her options to dish, as well as attack the basket, which she did strongly. Her finishing after contact was nice but I was equally impressed with her showing the “catch and shoot” while being defended yet on the flip, she also did a good job defensively baseline to baseline as well as in the halfcourt
Jordan sold me years ago watching her older sisters playing and when you study the game and apply what you’ve learned, that will always be a plus for me but her poise under pressure has never been questioned and she doesn’t shy away from defending anyone. Her pressure and quick hands can change the momentum but I also got a kick out of her attacking the basket to score along with dropping the jumper but her upside is really scary because “she ain’t scared of nothing” or “she isn’t afraid of anything” both mean WATCH OUT
I have to also give a special S/O to a few others from the squad
Taryn Barnes-5’11 F (2024) who also brought some heat defensively as well as scored off the dribble
Payton Lee-5’8 G (2026) created her shot while being defended, got spacing, and dropped the jumper
Whitney Jense-5’11 G (2027) showed she could drop the jumper, mid to long-range while being defended and has nice upside
