Sienna Corey Sienna Corey 5'6" | PG Northern Highlands | 2024 State NJ – #9-Northern Highlands – As expected, the Highlanders cruised to a 53-27 win over #24-Waldwick. As has been the case all season, Highlands was led by their senior PG. Sienna led the team in scoring once again with 17 points. She leads the team this season in all major categories with 16+ppg, 5+rpg, 4+spg and 3+apg. She also leads the team with 14 blocked shots and is 2nd with 32 3-pointers. At 12-3 and winners of 5 straight they meet #8-Demarest on Saturday who may be the hottest team in the tournament. This game will be a true battle of PGs as Sienna squares off with Gabriella Mittelman Gabriella Mittelman 5'6" | PG Demarest | 2026 State NJ .
Mia Vergel de Dios Mia Vergel de Dios 5'8" | PG Glen Rock | 2026 State NJ – #10-Glen Rock – Up 19 at the half, Glen Rock cruised to a 45-29 win over #23-Fair Lawn. Mia led the charge with 20 points and 2 3-pointers. Her 10+ppg lead a balanced scoring attack for a 12-3 Panthers team that has won 5 straight. Up next for Glen Rock is a very intriguing matchup with #7-Old Tappan who seems back on track winning 4 in a row after a 3-game slide to Demarest, Teaneck and Chatham.
Celina Bussanich Celina Bussanich 5'5" | PG Pascack Valley | 2025 State NJ – #12-Pascack Valley – In a 42-28 win over # 21-Ramsey, Celina led Pascack Valley as she has all year with 15 points and 3 3-pointers. PV got up by 8 after 1 and kept the lead all game. She is averaging 16+ppg with almost 3 3-pointers per game this season and she should pass 1,000 career points by the end of her junior season. A matchup with #5-Holy Angels is up next. Holy Angels won the 1st meeting 50-40 on December 19.
Kylie Cabana Kylie Cabana 5'8" | SG Paramus Catholic | 2024 State NJ – #13-Parmaus Catholic – The Paladins took an 8-point lead after the 1st quarter and kept pace the rest of the way beating #20-Dumont 61-52 in the preliminary round. The senior led the way with 19 points giving her 1,400 for her career so far. Kylie has scored in double figures in 13 of 14 games this year and in 72 of 79 career games at PC. Saturday’s matchup will be with a rested #4-Ramapo, who enters this game not having played in a week. Ramapo did beat the Paladins 52-35 at the She Balls Too Showcase on January 6 and held Kylie to 12 points which is her 3rd lowest output of the season.
Allie Shenloogian Allie Shenloogian 5'7" | CG Park Ridge | 2025 State NJ – #17-Park Ridge – In a rematch of a Westwood win just 11 days ago, Park Ridge did what they couldn’t do in the 2nd half of the first game and that is get Allie points. Allie finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in a 43-30 triumph over #16-Westwood in 1 of 2 preliminary round upsets. With over 1,300 career points thus far in her junior year, Allie should pass 2,000 as a senior. Next up for the Owls is #1-Saddle River Day, who beat Park Ridge 66-26 when they played on January 8 holding Allie to her lowest output of the season.
Erin Fahy Erin Fahy PF Cresskill | 2024 State NJ & Julia Hasenstab Julia Hasenstab SG Cresskill | 2024 State NJ – #18-Cresskill – The lowest seed remaining in an upset that was predicted in our preview, Cresskill is moving to the round of 16 on the heels of a monster 4th quarter. Down 34-33 against #15-Tenafly at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Cougars went on a 30-13 run in the 4th to win going away 63-47. As we discussed, Erin was too much inside for Tenafly as she finished with 31 points and 16 rebounds. Julia added a strong outside game with 17 points including 4 3-pointers and 5 rebounds. On Saturday they will play #2-IHA in the Round of 16.
