Syndey Perry, 6’0 F – Windsor H.S. Class of 2024
The numbers from Sydney last week were just outrageous. Perry put up 19 points, 12 rebounds, 7 steals and then follow it up with 8 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 steals. Her interior work is always chock full of strong post moves, boards, and second chance points. Yet her assist and steal numbers jumped out at me. Perry’s vision out of the post is quite sound, as is her anticipation around the paint defensively. She knows how to dish and muck it up on the other end. The competition she’s facing isn’t at a high-level, but Syd is a top forward in VT regardless.
Caitlyn Davison Caitlyn Davison 5'9" | CG Hazen | 2024 State New E , 5’9 G – Hazen Union H.S. Class of 2024
Davison knows how to get buckets! Caitlyn averaged 22.5 ppg this past week, posting 24 against a solid D2 Enosburg team and giving Stowe a cool 21. Her ability to get to the rim and finish with physicality is a joy to watch in an era where the drive is done too often to kick and not finish. She collects a ton of FTs because of it, and her jumper is too consistent to back off on the perimeter. A hound defensively with high-IQ game, Caitlyn brings two-way talent every night.
Sabine Brueck Sabine Brueck 5'8" | CG North Country Union | 2025 State New E , 5’8 G – North Country Union H.S. Class of 2025
I have Sabine down as a top five open court finisher in the state, maybe the best. Her scoring explosions are often spurred by her high-level on and off-ball defense + rebounding, and sheer speed. She’s a hawk on the ball, using her length and agility to fluster the opposition and create turnovers. And off the ball, she uses her quickness and anticipation to jump passes, collect deflections, and hit the glass. She went for 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals in a blowout win, followed it up with 18 points, then exploded for 29 on Saturday. A natural athlete.
Anna Moser Anna Moser 5'8" | CG Rutland | 2026 State New E , 5’8 G – Rutland High School Class of 2026
If Moser isn’t on your radar then your radar isn’t working. Anna is the top dog is the class of 2026 and its 100% earned. With her elite handle, multi-level scoring ability, vicious and witty defense, and overall court awareness, Anna impacts every play. She put together two solid outings this past week, notching 17 points against South Burlington and then upping the ante, going for 23 in a big time win against St. Johnsbury. Anna is the real deal and hungry to get better.
Merrill Jacobs Merrill Jacobs 5'7" | SF Champlain Valley Union | 2024 State New E , 5’9 W – Champlain Valley Union H.S. Class of 2024
One of the smartest and savviest players around, Merrill’s physical, high-IQ game makes her so effective. She’s someone who’s off-ball work creates a ton of scoring opportunities, and she has the awareness to beat the defense and feed teammates with her vision and reading of rotations from all over the court. Merrill led CVU in scoring against top D1 foe in St. Johnsbury with 14, then burst out for 15 points, 5 rebounds, 7 steals against a solid BBA squad. Merrill is a heady player on both ends with a serious motor.
