As much as we want to focus on the bigger names in the state, those who don’t quite get the same amount of press will be well-represented below, no doubt.
100 Career Steals: Kristina Lowe Kristina Lowe SF Cranford | 2024 NJ – Cranford (2024)
Lowe has been a role player during her time at Cranford, posting career-bests last season and trending toward potential career-highs this season. One thing that hasn’t changed is her defensive prowess, and on Jan. 11, she surpassed 100 career steals, well on pace to set a career-best in that category. Just over her last five games alone, she’s averaging five steals a game.
100 Career Assists: Jah’Nae Lembrick – Elizabeth (2026)
Lembrick has taken a significant jump as a facilitator this season for Elizabeth, averaging 4.6 assists per game thus far, and after dropping five dimes in her last game against Lincoln, she surpassed 100 in her career through two seasons. Right now, she looks to be well on track to at least reach 100 just for this season and potentially averaging 5.0 APG in the process.
100 Career Steals: Imani Mullings Imani Mullings 5'5" | CG Plainfield Academy For The Art And Advanced Studies | 2026 State NJ – Plainfield (2026)
A few sophomores are making headlines and making things happen on the court this season. Mullings is no different, easily a top player in the Union County Conference. Her defense has taken that next step toward being at an elite level, and as a sophomore, hitting 100 career steals is a testament to hard work being put in toward being a lock-down defender.
400 Career Steals: Marissa LaVerghetta Marissa LaVerghetta PG Mahwah | 2024 State NJ – Mahwah (2024)
We’ve been discussing a lot of century milestones thus far, but what about adding on another 300 to that, something that LaVerghetta has done in a unique category. You don’t see many players even come close to this defensively, but she’s done just that, now with 400 career steals, averaging well over 5.3 a game in her four-year career. That’s not a typo at all. She’s simply just been that dominant.
500 Career Points: Gabriella Mittelman Gabriella Mittelman 5'6" | PG Demarest | 2026 State NJ – Demarest (2026)
Just last week, Mittelman reached the halfway point to 1000 career points, getting her 500th point on Jan. 9 against Old Tappan. What a revelation she’s been on the court this season in so many ways, a dynamic player no doubt and a scorer with the best of them. Now through 43 career games with Demarest, Mittelman is averaging 13.2 PPG, including 13.4 PPG so far this season.
150 Career Blocks: Erin Frazier Erin Frazier 6'0" | C Teaneck | 2024 State NJ – Teaneck (2024)
Frazier’s senior sendoff at Teaneck has been a successful one thus far as she’s seemingly improved in a number of different categories, including shot-blocking. We’ve known how successful of a shot-blocker she’s been for Teaneck, but that realization has come fully into focus this season, surpassing the 150 career blocks mark as she’s now averaging 3.8 blocks per game with relative ease.
750 Career Points: Nevaeh Banks Nevaeh Banks SG Paterson Eastside | 2025 State NJ – Paterson Eastside (2025)
Paterson Eastside has quite the roster this season and its two best players return next season, one of them being Banks. While unlikely that she goes on a tear of 20+ PPG performances the remainder of the season, the quest for 1000 career points is now within arm’s reach after hitting the 750 point mark on Tuesday against Paterson Kennedy. She’s currently averaging 13.9 PPG through 14 games this season.
