1000 Career Rebounds: Abby Misier Abby Misier 6'4" | C Highstown | 2024 State NJ – Hightstown (2024)
First, it was hitting 1000 career points in her high school career, but on Tuesday, it was hitting 1000 career rebounds for Hightstown senior Abby Misier Abby Misier 6'4" | C Highstown | 2024 State NJ . She became just the second player in program history to reach the feat and now joins an exclusive club in New Jersey high school girls basketball history to do that. Over her career, she’s averaged 12.8 rebounds a game to put it into perspective.
Leading Scorers in School History, Boys or Girls: Taylor Derkack Taylor Derkack 6'0" | SF Colonia | 2024 State NJ – Colonia (2024)
Derkack didn’t just surpass former teammate Mattison Chiera’s school record in girls basketball for career points…she’s not the leading scorer in school history, period. A 30-point performance on Jan. 20 was enough to put her past Nick Smith, now holding the all-time scoring record for both boys and girls basketball at Colonia. That’s an incredible achievement for the future Division I standout.
1000 Career Points: Francesca Schiro Francesca Schiro 5'6" | CG Hillsborough | 2025 State NJ – Hillsborough (2025)
For the amount of seniors that we’ve seen reach the 1000 point mark this season, we’ve seen quite a few juniors and underclassmen reach that mark as well. Schiro fits into the junior category over at Hillsborough, hitting the 1K mark against Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Jan. 13. Just this season alone, she’s nearly averaging 20 points a game and has eight 20-point performances in 15 games played.
500 Career Points: Lauryn Case Lauryn Case SG Point Pleasant Beach | 2024 NJ – Point Pleasant Beach (2024)
Case has slowly but surely worked her way up the totem pole as a consistent contributor for Point Pleasant Beach, and she’s finally getting her roses as a senior, reaching 500 career points against Hopewell Valley on Jan. 17. This season has been a career-best year for her, averaging 9.1 PPG for the Garnet Gulls in 15 games played. She’s also averaging a career-high 1.5 made three-pointers a game.
500 Career Points: Madison Palek Madison Palek 6'2" | PF Middle Township | 2024 State NJ – Middle Township (2024)
If we have all of our math correct, Palek, who’s been a star at Middle Township since transferring over last season, just reached the 500 point pleateau on Jan. 13 against Cedar Creek. She’s really shown a lot of growth in her current role with the Panthers and as a result, she’s averaging 11.2 PPG through 13 games played as a senior.
100 Career Three-Pointers: Katherine Bogutsky Katherine Bogutsky 5'6" | SG J.P. Stevens | 2024 State NJ – J.P. Stevens (2024)
Bogutskyy has stepped up her game over the past two seasons at J.P. Stevens, going from a complementary contributor to a star player on a team that’s one of the better programs currently in the Greater Middlesex Conference. A big reason for her recent success is her three-point shooting, recently surpassing 100 made three-pointers in her career on Jan. 13. She now has 106 in her career.
