After seeing Hilbert at Divine Savior Holy Angels once, I want to watch her again at some point this season. She has good size at 5-11, runs the floor well, defends on the perimeter, and makes plays on the ball. I never heard of her before late December, but to say I’m intrigued by what she could become would be putting it lightly. Hilbert could become one of the better players in the GMC if she wants to work at it.
Savanna Robinson Savanna Robinson 5'8" | SG Kaukauna | 2025 State WI
Robinson has been solid for Kaukauna this season after again having serious injury issues within the program. The now junior has been one of the best at distributing in the FVA this season, which has helped maximize what the Galloping Ghosts are as we speak. She’s gotten the most out of her teammates with how well she’s moved the ball, and it’s kept Kaukauna as a team that you can’t walk into and expect to win by 20. Everyone has elevated their game with Kinas’ injury, and it’s been a neat team to follow since the season started in November.
Natalie Mueller Natalie Mueller 5'6" | SG Homestead | 2025 State WI
You won’t find many kids who shoot the ball as consistently well as Mueller, and you won’t find many kids who shoot it at her level of play with her amount of effort. That kid flies around the floor making plays she has no business making. Those plays swing games, and it has against good teams this season like Hartford. Mueller was arguably the best rebounder on the floor that game, and she isn’t a physically imposing kid. What Mueller does on a game-to-game basis adds to Homestead’s plucky underdog mentality. They’ve proven they can play with some of the best teams in the state, so don’t be shocked to see them win tonight and make a run in February and March.
The way Gomez, Keegan Lodes Keegan Lodes 5'11" | SF Kettle Moraine | 2025 State WI , and Lola Bond Lola Bond 5'6" | CG Kettle Moraine | 2025 State WI have stepped up this season after losing Grace Grocholski and Braelyn Torres has been excellent. Gomez has been the most consistent scorer the Lasers have and made that transition seamlessly. The lefty has become one of the better scorers in the Classic Eight, who could send two teams to the Resch Center this season. Gomez has become a kid who’ll likely get some form of all-conference recognition, and she was the seventh or eighth kid in the KM rotation last season. She’s come a long way, and I couldn’t be happier for her.
