Kaleigh Ziesel (LeBlond): The 5’6″ 2024 guard is one of the top returning players from last year’s Class 2 state runner-up team. She plays very well wherever she is stationed on the court. She does a nice job at the high post against a zone defense where she is a deft passer who can also hit that elbow jumper. She can also score in the low post with her good footwork and positioning. She is also an excellent ball handler who can knock down the open 3-pointer. She also plays very solid defense.
Kyla Conard (LeBlond): A 5’8″ 2024 guard who loves to attack the basket on the drive. She is going to get down hill at every opportunity, even if the defense know that she’s coming. She also does a good job of taking the contact and finishing with good concentration. She doesn’t mind seeking contact as well. If she gets an open look from 3-point range, she will knock it down.
Isabel Robinson Isabel Robinson 5'10" | SF Cameron | 2027 State MO (Cameron): A 5’11” 2027 forward who was one of the most impressive players that I watched at the tournament. She is very skilled and she plays with a lot of poise. She handles the ball well and she can run the fast break effectively. She can face the basket and beat defenders off the dribble. She was also hitting the 3-pointer off the pick and pop. She also plays well in the low post with her height and shooting touch in the paint.
Kinley Rogers (Exelsior Springs): A 5’10” 2026 forward who has good versatility and a nice skill set. She has good length and mobility and she uses it well on the top of her team’s full court press. She also runs the court well in the transition game. She does a good job working inside as she flashes well in the lane and can finish with the short jumper off the glass.
Kendall Cathcut (LeBlond): A 5’7″ 2026 forward who is a talented young player in the LeBlond program. She is a very active player with a high motor. She can hit the open 3-pointer off the catch. She also does a good job hustling for loose balls and rebounds.
Lexi O’Dell (Braymer): A 5’7″ 2024 guard who plays a good all-purpose game. I was impressed with how strong she was with the ball as she did a nice job stepping through a double team to get to the basket for a layup. She can also go inside and post up to get herself a bucket.
Ella Jameson (Cameron): A 5’6″ 2024 guard who can shoot the ball well from 3-point range. She was hitting shots off the catch and she did a good job of coming off screens ready to shoot the ball. She was also aggressive in getting down hill and scoring off the drive and she was doing it with either hand.
Corrina Utterback (Wellington-Napoleon): A 5’11” 2024 forward who plays a solid game in the low post. She does a good job of keeping the ball up She is also very effective when she is operating in the high post. She delivered some good passes to open cutters and she could hit the short jumper in the lane.
