You could be scratching your head thinking “ I thought she just went out .” At some schools this is the case as they have not only sisters but twins on the floor and majority of the time they are out there at the same time. Funny as it sounds but this does pose as an interesting topic.
In the mid- state, we have sets of twins that are putting in that work in the private school sector. These young ladies are playing some big minutes for their ball clubs. Some have starred in their roles while others have flourished behind measures. Just know that these girls get after it and will continue to grow both as young ladies and ball players.
Here are some notable twins who are hooping in the mid-state. ( Apologies to those who aren’t mentioned).
Natalie and McKenzie Kaye McKenzie Kaye 5'8" | SF Grace Christian Academy | 2024 State TN ( Grace Christian Academy- Franklin)– a true 1-2 punch, these girls do it all for their ball club. They score it, rebound , defend, make timely assists, it’s evident once you look at the finishing stats and their numbers are very close or not far off. They feed off each other and if one happens to not be on, the other one is lighting up the scoreboard. The girls have fun and they truly are each other’s biggest cheerleader. They challenge each other in everything they do and their success has paid off as both will be attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. These young ladies are some special ball players but even better young ladies off the court. Check out these two as they compete and continue to take GCA to new heights.
Kate and Lily Fielding Lily Fielding 5'8" | SG Father Ryan | 2026 State TN ( Father Ryan )– talk about confusion, these two look alike, sound similar, and don’t have a huge difference in the heigh department . Both contribute to the Lady Irish by not only putting the ball in the hole, but doing the little things. Rebounding, setting solid picks, timely passes, getting after loose balls, taking charges. These girls are learning and mastering the little nuances of the game. If you are wondering what the major difference between the two are, Kate is the one who is more aggressive at attacking gaps. Lily loves to catch and shoot, exploiting the defender who probably sagged off her thinking she was about to drive to the rim. These two are fun to watch and they are just youngsters in the high school game. Look for these sophomore twins to get better and better as they gain more confidence and add to their skill set .
Macey and

Lipscomb Academy | 2027
TN
( Lipscomb Academy)– I must admit, these young ladies have been thrown into the fire and are growing game by game. You can tell the difference between these two, plus they do different things. Macey is the blond heady point guard who can score it from the field, but run the offense effectively. Madison is the brown headed forward who can rebound and shoot the 3. Coach Starks has leaned on these two for some valuable minutes this year and they have answered the phone numerous times contributing to their teams success. They have grown tremendously in their confidence, and their skill development has grown as well. Just last year these girls were suiting up as 8th graders and now they are playing big minutes in a tough division. Look for these two to continue to grow and provide the Lady Mustangs program with hard work, stability, and an overall bright future for years to come.
