These kids shot the ball from the three point line with a percentage of 40% or better in the game, so we had to shout these girls out for shooting at a high percentage for their teams. Hope you enjoy the evaluations and recognition.
Jocelyn Pascual Jocelyn Pascual 5'7" | CG Brentwood | 2024 State CA – Brentwood HS
Jocelyn shot the ball with a percentage of 60% in this event, she was one of the top shooters we witnessed at the event on this day and she is for good reason, she is very efficient on the floor and is what you call a BEAST on the floor. She is relentless and can score on you in a variety of ways, but one thing is for sure, she is gonna put the ball in the hoop one way or another. She is being recognized for being a true scorer and one of the top shooters at this event.
Jamie Rain Kim – South Pasadena HS
Jamie filled the basket up with her shooting, she was also a high percentage three point shooter at this event, shooting it at a 55% clip. She knocked down (5/9) in this game and that is quite remarkable shooting also with hands in your face as well. She could shoot off the catch, she could one-dribble pullup, but her specialty was sliding to the corner and hitting a nice shot, she has a nice stroke on her form. She was nothing but SPLASH, each time she got a good look and her feet set.
Katie Chung – South Pasadena HS
Katie was the raining queen of the court for shooting three pointers in this event, she finished the game shooting 66% from the three point line and that was by far the highest shot percentage in the event. She also has a nice stroke on her shot and was not shy about taking her shots, she slid into position, caught the ball and shot it, nothing but NET. We love her intensity in the game and gave her recognition on the way she shot the ball.
Olivia Lagao Olivia Lagao 5'6" | PG Windward | 2025 State CA – Windward HS
Olivia was a beast in the game, she ended the game with a game high of 22 points on (7/10) shooting from the field, but what was impressive was her 60% from the three point line. So now you have a 70% field goal shooter also shooting 60% from the arc, she is deadly and you have to contain her if not, she will get numbers like this in each and every game. We love her intensity and team leadership, she is gonna help her team go far this season, we are going to be watching.
Lexi Mercado Lexi Mercado 5'8" | SG Bonita | 2025 State CA – Bonita HS
Lexi did some great things on the floor as well, she was the leading scorer for her team in this event and she did it with shooting 44% from the field and a whopping 50% from the three point line. She scored from everywhere on the floor and was also a good defender and team leader. She was vocal and made things happen on the floor, but what we loved was her relentless pursuit to get baskets for her team and try to keep them competitive. She did a great job an we will be keeping an eye on her for the rest of the season.
Sadie Cohen -Windward HS
Sadie was solid for her team as well her teammate up above, Sadie shot the ball at a 50% clip from the field and 50% from the three point stripe. This is impressive as well, cause when you have a kid who makes half of the shots they take, it will keep you in a lot of games down the line. She did what she could do to help her team compete as well, she shot it well and was also able to get to the rim.
