Murphy continues to expand her game offensively and if her explosiveness and power while attacking the basket wasn’t enough, it’s becoming stronger. She’s finishing after contact yet with her being able to create her shot and drop the jumper, with a hand in her face, from mid to long range, that gives her options. Her stop and pop in transition has gotten better and she’s seeing the floor both in the set as well as in transition. Her on the ball defense is also nice
Willis has added another dimension to La Vega’s offense and after dropping 10 from deep earlier in the season but she’s also shown she’s more than just a threat from BTA. Her midrange has been looking good, she’s also scoring and dishing off the dribble but her defensive pressure has gotten better in the set, she’s a log and athletic guard that plays the passing lane, yet one of the best parts about her game is she understands how to get hers in the flow
Jordan is a big piece of the puzzle for her team and please remember that the game has and always will start at the 1. My initial sighting told me she understood how to control the tempo and run the team yet she also did a good job of both handling the pressure and applying it on the defensive end. Her court vision in the set as well as in the open court gets her teammates good looks but she also threads the needle going full speed and that is HUGE
Hardy has been mentioned by me as an athletic guard that understands how to use her athletic ability on both the offensive as well as defensive end yet she also has the ability to change the momentum from both. She attacks the basket strategically and her body control on her finishes is among the best in the area, this includes after contact. Her pull-up jumper as well as elevating in the set to drop it are both nice, so are her quick hands while defending to come away with steals
Nerocker can ROCK it because she scores on a variety of ways. At times, she has the defender at her mercy because she can attack the basket, with either hand yet she also can finish the same way, with either hand. Adding the jumper to the equation is special because her release is quick and fluid and she understands something very important and that’s “following her shot”. She can apply baseline to baseline pressure, she plays the passing lane she even rebounds
