Lilly Meulemans Lilly Meulemans 5'8" | PG Appleton East | 2025 State WI
After coming off a severe injury, Meulemans has returned and found consistency in her jumper that she didn’t have in her sophomore season. She’s shot the ball so well that even a recent slump hasn’t put a dent in her percentages this season, and the shooting is icing on the cake for her anyway. Her explosiveness will pop to people when they see her, as competitive as anyone. She’ll make things happen that nobody else can.
Payton Morgan Payton Morgan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI
Ever since I first saw Morgan play as a freshman at the state tournament, I’ve liked her game more each time I’ve seen her. From watching her last summer, it was nice to see her create more off the dribble than she would at Laconia, and it showed a new side of her that I didn’t expect. However, her role for the Spartans will be what she does when she gets to Minnesota-Mankato. Her shooting, defense, and IQ will get her on the floor early.
Although an injury has her off the floor this season, watching Jensen operate in the Lancers’ fall league at Pewaukee sold me on her. She can create off the dribble, get her teammates involved, make difficult shots, and see everything around her. I see her as more of a scoring guard, but there’s potential for her to give some positive minutes as a lead guard. Her teammates look to her whenever they need a spark, and she’s a good teammate on or off the floor. I’m not sure what her timeline looks like, but she could be one of the stories of the 24-25 when she gets back and hopefully have a phenomenal senior season at Brookfield Central.
Eva Brooks Eva Brooks 6'0" | PF Lena | 2025 State WI
One of the top small-school performers this season is Eva Brooks Eva Brooks 6'0" | PF Lena | 2025 State WI from Lena. The 6-0 forward is as dynamic as any six-footer in the state, and few small schools have the personnel to keep her from scoring anywhere on the floor. I’m sure she has a ridiculous-looking stat line from her scoring, rebounding, blocks, and steals, and there is a world where she becomes one of the most dominant D5 kids we’ve seen in a while over the next 13 months. Keep an eye on how Lena does in the postseason in D5.
