Standouts
Marston had herself a game and wlthough she might not have scored off the charts she does so many things to help her team win that might not always show up on the scoresheet. Her ability to extend plays with the way she crashes the glass and gets tips or rebounds. She can defend 1-5 out on the floor and not only does her height at about 5’10 or taller help her but she has a plus on her reach. She could be a really good CG at the college level. NJCAA for sure but could be a stock riser moving forward.
Badonie was displaying a lot of patience and she was taking what the defense was giving her. When she was on the ball in the perimeter she had a player guarding her tightly. When she was off the ball and caught it on the move she was able to take advantage of some strong closeouts and make her way into the midrange and show her pull-up game and her floater game.
Easy to see why she is a D1 bound player. Even though a lot of her shots did not fall as they went in and out she was impacting the game in many other ways. Her roatation off the ball defensively is elite and her length, speed and IQ is off the charts for a guard. She was crashing the glass and she was getting steals and making the extra pass. She simply finds ways to win.
When it came to making things happen on the fly or when the play or offense needed a player to make something happen Addy was able to get to the rim. She had many shots just slide out but she has the ability to create and that is something that helped keep her team in the game. She does have a good looking shot from deep and she has a lot to guild on as she is a highly skilled guard.
Stock Risers
Fraser is a pler that does this naturally but she puts herself in the right place at the right time. She has a high IQ that leads her to find opening in the defense and she has a soft touch 15 feet and in. She can step out and shoot the ball but her movement off the ball really opens things up for her and her teammates. When you watch her play she is running to the right spots most of the game without instruction.
Highlights
Still getting back into shape after a injury as she comes back she gives Bingham a solid post presence. Her ability to get in the paint and go over both shoulder is a game changer. She has the ability to draw more than one defender. Keep an eye on her moving forward as she gets more reps.
Barker might be a little taller than she is listed but do not sleep on her, she can play. She runs the floor well and when she rebounds she keeps that ball high and she can really impact the game in the paint. Defends well and she can guard. Impressed with what I saw from her last night.
Rotational Standouts
When one of your bigger players out runs the other teams guards to the rim it makes you double take and that is what Taylor did last night as she benifited from some unselfish play.
Casperson was dominating the boards on the defensive end. She might have had 3 or o4 rebounds where she just ran to the ball and hauled one in. When she was in the game and she was just hard to box out. If she could get some easy looks at the rim she could be an impactful player for this Bingham squad. She is really quick.
Highlights
it lookes like the freshman cracked the rotation and she has been playing well on JV and she did some good things on Varsity. More reps will help her adjust to the speed and it will also give Bingham another player that can shoot with range.
She comes in to defend and get steals and she is a so fast and she does her job. if you leave her open she can hit from deep so she is not just a one dimensional player. She had an impact in the game for sure.
