Canton and LaPlata will meet for the championship today. Here are some of those talented small school players that caught our attention in those two games.
2024
Macie Fisher Macie Fisher 5'9" | SG Canton | 2024 State MO (Canton): A 5’9 guard who excels at both ends of the court. She used her length and athleticism to block shots and get deflections. She was blocking perimeter jumpers. She is a solid slasher who was hitting high-arching shots from 3-point range.
Emma Hultz (Canton): The senior sharpshooter was lighting it up from long distance against North Shelby. She started off with a nice elbow jumper, then she started to break loose from 3-point range. She was even hitting her heat check shots.

2025
Macy Glasgow (Canton): A 5’8 guard who is a high energy player with a strong motor. She could wheel and deal in the lane for a bucket and she was also good at drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. She was also active on defense at the top of the full court press.
Kwyn Hamlin (Scotland County): A 5’8 guard who has excellent athleticism and driving ability. She attacks the bucket well as she was always probing the lane. She has a nice hesitation move that freezes defenders. She also scores in the post well as she holds her position well and finishes strong.
Claire Coy (LaPlata): A solid wing player who scored 20 points in the semifinal win over Scotland Co. She is a very effective scorer from 15 feet and in. She could attack off the dribble or hit the jump shot.

2026
Hadley Parsons (North Shelby): A young guard who has a high basketball IQ. She was consistently in the right position on the floor to get a steal or an offensive rebound. She does a good job of passing her teammates open. She can score on a nice runner off the glass.

2027
Layne Mack (LaPlata): The young shooting guard put up a 30-piece in the semifinal win over Scotland Co. She was lighting it up from 3-point range and her range was extended. She was coming off screens and running in transition to knock down shots.
Ashlynn Lewis (LaPlata): The young point guard is the consummate floor leader who really passes the ball well. She has good zip on her passes as she hits her teammates right in the shooting pocket. She also plays the passing lanes well for steals.
Ally Rich (North Shelby): A young point guard who did a nice job shooting the ball from distance off the catch. She was also a solid ball handler who distributes the ball. She also hawks the ball well on the defensive end.
Kenna Oliver Kenna Oliver 5'9" | SF Canton R-V | 2027 MO (Canton): A 5’9 wing player who did some nice things when she entered the game. She immediately blocked two shots on the perimeter when he came in. She was also screening well to get teammates open. She’s a good athlete who runs the court well in transition
