We went over to the Hockomock League to recap some of the best individual player performances of the weekend and Monday below.
Fatima Sidibay – Canton (2024)
What a day it was for the Canton senior on Friday against Mansfield, despite a hard-fought loss. All Sidibay did was set a new career-high in scoring with a 27-point performance, absolutely balling out on the court and no one could stop her. She’s been as advertised and then some this season and only seems to be getting better by the game. Really excited to see what she does down the stretch.
Kailey Sullivan Kailey Sullivan 5'8" | CG Foxboro | 2025 State New E – Foxboro (2025)
Not only did Sullivan recently become a member of the 1000 point club at Foxboro, but she absolutely went off on Monday in the Comcast Tourney, scoring a team-high 22 points. The Warriors fell to a strong Wachusett team, but that doesn’t diminish the performance that she had on the floor, one that further backs up how she’s gotten to the 1K mark so quickly in her career.
Sophia Foley – Mansfield (2027)
On Monday, it was the Mansfield freshman Sophia Foley who led the charge offensively, finishing with a team-high 13 points against Braintree. The Hornets pulled out a seven-point win, catapulting them into the final of the Roundball Classic, and to have young contributors like Foley at the forefront of that is exciting to see. Also, this isn’t her first time in the spotlight, putting up some quality performances earlier this month and this season.
Avery Gamble Avery Gamble 5'6" | SG Oliver Ames | 2026 State New E – Oliver Ames (2026)
For the second-straight game, Gamble led Oliver Ames in scoring, finishing with 15 points on Sunday in a dominant 19-point win over Andover. Emphatic first round victory in the Spartan Classic and a well-needed win to bounce back from a 20+ point loss against Foxboro. Gamble has been a welcomed contributor on this team as a sophomore and continues to grow and excel at a high level for the Tigers.
Sam Sweeney – North Attleboro (2025)
Sweeney, North Attleboro’s impressive junior guard, has been racking up double-digit scoring performances in recent weeks and Friday against Attleboro was no different. Great to see her finding that consistent success on the floor, something that unfortunately the Red Rocketeers haven’t seen much of sitting at 6-14 this season. They’ll have Sweeney back next season, her senior year, and someone poised to make a run at it individually.
Maddie Keough Maddie Keough 5'9" | PG King Philip | 2026 State New E – King Philip (2026)
Keough had herself a strong performance against Taunton over the last several days, finishing with 16 points in a comfortable win for King Philip. The Warriors pretty comfortably coasted to a win behind the work of their sophomore sharp-shooter. She also knocked down four three-pointers in that game, showing off her range in a big way, not to mention her quick release in catch-and-shoot situations.
