In her last two league performances, the 5’9 senior finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists at Valley Catholic to win the league title; and 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists against Horizon Christian. These are typical numbers for Cabine, who is an aggressive defender, can shoot from deep, and is extremely difficult to stop driving to the rim due to her quickness and elite athleticism. She has the Eagles poised to make a deep run at the 3A level.
Highlights
Still looking at the 3A picture, Corbett is the heavy favorite to win it all with a perfect 21-0 record thus far, and Holwege is a huge reason why. The Cardinals’ crafty point guard, Holwege excels at running the offense and pushing the pace, and is also an excellent scorer at all three levels. In a few of their most recent league games, Holwege put up impressive numbers like 24 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals against Yamhill-Carlton; and 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists at Riverdale/Riverside, WLWV. She is a talent who should be playing at the next level next year.
5’8 Katelyn Senn Katelyn Senn 5’8″ | CG Bandon | 2024 State OR has led her Bandon Tigers to the #2 spot in the state in 2A, and they are one of the favorites to vie for the title. She is a do-it-all type of player who is the leading scorer and rebounder, racks up huge numbers of steals every single game, and finds her teammates in positions to score. In their last two conference games, Senn knocked down four 3-pointers to finish with 22 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals over Waldport; and then had a double-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 7 steals against Monroe. She is a likely candidate for 2A state player of the year.
Sadie Snyder Sadie Snyder 5’8″ | PG Oakridge | 2024 State OR is another stud who has been making a statement across 2A all season long. Oakridge’s 5’8 senior point guard is a dominant force all over the court, to the point that she often looks like she is playing on a whole other level, and often ending as the leader in just about every statistical category for the Warriors each game. In a couple recent conference outings, Snyder finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists, and 3 blocks against Central Linn; and then knocked down three 3-pointers on her way to 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks against East Linn Christian.
Dakota Carson Dakota Carson 5’5″ | CG Creswell | 2024 State OR is another talented player in the 2024 rankings, and one of the top remaining uncommitted players in her class. She is frequently the Bulldogs’ leading scorer in addition to excelling in her point guard duties. She has led the way in their past five games, which included a 26-point, 9-rebound, 6-steal performance against La Pine; as well as 11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 7 steals in a huge win against Sisters. Carson has been a symbol of consistency all year-long for Creswell, consistently playing high-level basketball and doing what it takes for her team to win. They are ranked #10 in 3A heading into the postseason.
