Rolla
Rolla is a team with tons of momentum in Class 5. They’re 17-2 with their only two losses being “high quality losses” coming from Lutheran St. Charles, the top team in Class 5, and El Dorado Springs who’s the top ranked team in Class 3. Both games were down to the wire as well. Rolla has continued to prove that they’re for real by winning or keeping every game close. Willow Gideon Willow Gideon 5'10" | SG Rolla | 2024 State MO continues to lead the charge with great play from the guard spot. She’s a dynamic player who shows up when the team needs her most. Role players such as Resa Martin Resa Martin 5'9" | SG Rolla | 2024 State MO and Kori Alcorn Kori Alcorn 5'8" | CG Rolla | 2024 State MO always make an impact.
Staley
The Falcons have one of the youngest Starting 5s in all of Missouri girls basketball, however, they’re also one of the most talented rosters. They’re currently on a 15 game winning streak after defeating Liberty North by 19 points. This type of dominating victory is a statement win. In the most recent MBCA ranking Liberty North was ranked 2nd and Staley is sure to take over that spot being 19-1. Staley is a team with all the pieces to make a run to Mizzou Arena in March.
Lift for Life
The Lady Hawks out of Soulard have been impressive all season long. Cara Manuel Cara Manuel 5'7" | PG Lift for Life | 2027 State MO (2027) and Zha Harris Zha Harris 5'6" | PG Lift For Life Academy | 2026 State MO (2026) lead this young team who are fearless as a group. They play an up-tempo style and love to defend. They’re 19-2 on the season and riding a 10 game win streak at the time of this writing. They’ve competed against some of the best and continue to show more growth than the typical team. Lift for Life is a program that college recruiters will be checking out over the next few seasons. The Lady Hawks are set to continue building upon their success.
El Dorado Springs
The Lady Bulldogs are one of the best small school programs in the state currently. They’re 18-3 and have won many games in dominant fashion. This is a team that can play a number of styles and adapts very well. They’ve won a number of key out of town games and tournaments when the opportunity has presented itself. Neely Schaaf Neely Schaaf 5'9" | SG El Dorado Springs | 2025 State MO is their star player and one of the best juniors in the entire state. Her ability to score lifts them over good competition. A very well-rounded squad overall.
