Brusly junped out to a 25 to 11 1st quarter lead . They stretched the lead to 48 to 19 at the half with great guard play. Brusly cruised to a easy 65 to 37 victory. Here is a look at the top performers in the game.
Alaiah Jarrell Alaiah Jarrell 5'7" | PG Brusly | 2025 State LA 5′ 7″ Brusly
The junior point guard led all scores with 20 points. She dictated the pace of play for the Brusly Panthers and hit two three pointers. She was very good with the ball in her hands and created open looks for her teammates . She was a steals magnet on the defensive end. Alaiah was great on both ends of the floor the entire game for the Panthers.
Laila Clark Laila Clark 5'7" | SG Brusly | 2024 State LA 5′ 7″ Brusly
The senior shooting guard had 17 points in the contest and hit one three point shot. She was great off the dribble and finishing at the rim. Laila and Alaiah blew the game out early with their steady offensive play. The duo always found each other for open looks played tough high pressure defense. They was awesome in transition with pin point passing.
Yazmine Williams Yazmine Williams LA 5′ 7″ Brusly
The sophomore guard had 10 points and played well from start to finish. She was good from mid range and rebounded well. Yazmine played with high energy from tip to final horn. She played tough hard nosed defense and was very scrappy under the boards.
Gabrielle Lathers Gabrielle Lathers 5'11" | SF Mckinley Senior | 2024 LA 5′ 8″ McKinley
The senior guard led her team with 19 points . She was outstanding from behind the arc with five three pointers . She tried to keep her team in it with her hot shooting. Gabrielle has a very smooth looking three point stroke and is a team leader for the Panthers.
Maynah Booker 5′ 8″ McKinley
The junior forward added 11 points for the Panthers. She was solid from start to finish . She hit two three point shots and played tough in the paint for the Panthers . Maynah played very physical on the low block and has a nice soft touch from behind the arc. She is a very versatile player who can play multiple positions of ball handling , shooting , and physicality.
