District Championship Games.
One of the better district championship games was Montgomery County vs. Centralia. These are two of the best teams in all of Class 3 and Centralia was able to pull out the win. A massive statement game for their program as Montgomery Country was considered a possible contender to win it all. Another big game was Fair Grove vs. Stafford in the Springfield area. This one resulted in a dominant win for Fair Grove who continue to reach new heights this season. The Eagles are strong at key positions and have championship pedigree. This is a dangerous team from top to bottom. Skyline and Tipton are both moving onto the Class 2 sectionals after district championships. Look for both to be contenders at Mizzou Arena. There’s a lot of parity in the small school classes throughout Missouri. The next two weeks should be very eventful.
Incarnate Word extends their win streak.
The Red Knights have now won over 125 games in a row and it took a tough battle vs. John Burroughs in order to get to that point. This game was one that came down to the wire and provided intrigue from many angles. Burroughs had the game close or tied early in the 4th, a point of the game where IWA has usually pulled away. Their dominance over the years has given fans very few games like the one that took place Wednesday. Nevaeh Caffey Nevaeh Caffey 5'10" | PG Incarnate | 2025 State MO was tremendous, scoring 21 points and playing a pivotal role on the defensive end of the floor. She’s in contention to be named the top 2025 prospect in the state.
