CIFSSGD1 Championship
Final Score: Brentwood 70, Corona Santiago 53
Jayda Cobbs Jayda Cobbs 5'9" | SG Corona Santiago | 2025 State CA – Corona Santiago
Jayda is a very good talent, she has a nice body type as a combo guard, she is good with her handle, she can score the ball and she is a team leader in every since of the word. She had a tough day in this game, but she did not relent, she kept attacking the basket, she kept taking open shots and sat down and played very hard defense to try and stop her opponent. She is still young and developing her game, but she is a solid player that we have reported on for the last two years, she will keep getting better each and every game in our opinion.
Rhylee Gent – Corona Santiago
Rhylee put on a good show for us, she did all the little things a player should do to help her team stay competitive in this contest. She scored the ball a little and she rebounded the ball, got good passes to teammates and was a good defender on and off the ball. She ran the floor well, showed us some athleticism and was a good teammate, she kept the team in good spirits and did not relent in this game, she kept attacking and trying to make something happen.
Zawadi Ogot – Corona Santiago
Zawadi put on a show for us, she scored in a variety of ways for her team, but just could not stop the flurry of efficient shooting from the opposing team. She has good size and is athletic, but what we loved was her tenacity on the floor, she never gave up and tried to keep her team in by scoring the ball and fighting for rebounds under the rim. She ran the floor well and was able to score in transition when the opportunity presented itself. She gave it her all, but it was just not enough to overcome the opposing team, but she was fun to watch and we will be adding her to our rankings in the next edition.
Lev Feiman Lev Feiman 5'7" | SG Brentwood | 2024 State CA – Brentwood
Lev was the best player on the floor this weekend as we watched her and her team play in the championship, she was consistent, calm and collected in this game. She shot the lights out of the ball as well as her team did, they kept he pressure on the whole game, I believe they shot over 45% from three and they kept on shooting it and they were dropping in the basket in a hurry. She has improved her range from three, her pull up game is really good, but she can hezy and get to the rim and finish thru contact as well. This kid is a MONSTER, coaches, no way she does not have D1 Offers.
Payton Sugar Payton Sugar 5'5" | SG Brentwood | 2025 State CA – Brentwood
Peyton is a player that can do a lot of things on the floor and that is what she went on to do in this game, she can pass, she can shoot and she can defend. She is a combo guard with a nice stroke on her shot and man when I say she can shoot, that is an understatement. Peyton made various shots and got to the rim in this game, she found teammates for easy scores and she defended like no other on the floor. This kid was special in this game.
Jocelyn Pascual Jocelyn Pascual 5'7" | CG Brentwood | 2024 State CA – Brentwood
Jocelyn is always good, she shows out each and every time I watch her play and this game was no different. She shot the cover off the ball and she made plays for herself and her teammates with ease. She sat down and defended, keeping her opponents from getting any type of clean look at the basket. She rebounded, she could get up and down the floor in transition and hit you with a nice three pointer with hands in her face. The whole team shot the lights out of the ball, it was fun to watch that team working on all cylinders.
