Ruff sparked an 11-0 run to close the game to rally Baldwin to their first state title since 1988, erasing a 16-point third quarter deficit. Ruff attacked the rim, using her quickness to split the Hardaway zone. Madison finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, going 9-16 from the foul line, scoring nine points in the fourth quarter. Her playmaking resulted in two key assists.
Highlights
Walker came to life in the second half before fouling out late. The dominant post presence recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds after having just 2 points and 5 rebounds at halftime where the Bravettes trailed 15-9. Janaye used her strength to get position and finished with the ball high above her head. She settled into the game after taking a few early rushed shots and pounded away at the interior.
It was a stock-rising performance for Burrell. The bowling ball of a guard showcased her versatility across the stat sheet. Adazha had the hot hand early, netting two threes with her tight release which has two hands on the ball until the very end. Burrell tallied 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Burrell can sometimes be an unsung hero for the Hawks and fly under the radar, but Wednesday’s performance should squarely put her front of mind with college coaches.
The lefty did a great job battling inside against Balwin’s bulk. Shelton used her length to sway away shots and finish around the rim. Akilah had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks. She is a legitimate defensive anchor with a well-rounded offensive game which features burgeoning range.
Keep an eye on Rhianna. She shined off the bench for Hardway with her length and activity. The freshman provided huge minutes, posting 4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks in 14 minutes. There is a lot to like about Rhianna’s game.
Greenforest turned to the length of Arek Angui Arek Angui 6’6″ | C Greenforest | 2024 State GA to win their first state title. The 6-foot-6 center found success getting to her turnaround jumper in the post. She is agile and equipped with a soft touch and good shooting form. The UCF Knight had 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Milica lets it fly. She loves to shoot the three and is comfortable putting the ball on the deck to get downhill to floater. Lazarevic will utilize methodical eurosteps to get to her spots. The big guard tallied 11 points and 5 rebounds.
The dynamic multisport athlete battled hard against the Greenforest length with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Marley is a monster athlete, bouncy and aggressive. She was able to draw fouls off the dribble and shoot 6-9 from the line.
