King continues to be QUEEN and shining her crown during the high school season is only part of it as she has shown she can not only be effective on both ends, she showed she could put her team on her back in clutch situations which she relishes. I tell this story over and over, she was in middle school, flew in from a trip and made it to her club teams championship game late in the second half and dropped a 3 to win it. Her midrange shooting, ability to set the defender up and court vision are all on high alert for defenders
Highlights
Waters is now sailing with Cy Fair’s top EYBL team and her being able to fit in and be relevant on the star studded team made me glad I knew he she was without a roster. Her pull-up jumper was clicking, she also scored off the dribble and saw the floor yet her playing the passing lane JUST DID IT for me. Her timing to block shots has always been a plus, so has her “on the ball” defense and I expect her to blow up on the circuit
Terry silently keeps climbing up the charts because she’s a hit and one thing I constantly talk about that I enjoy seeing is “on the court” progression. She was one of those young players I saw in middle school that I felt had the IT factor and watching her at the Mansfield Spring Creek Invitational showed how much her game has grown. I said she will be elevated from 30, I see it coming because of her mindset and desire
Jennings was another player I caught at the Prime Event that I’m glad I recognized, again no roster yet she isn’t an imposter as her being “long and athletic” and able to overpower players around the basket is one thing, so is her scoring off the dribble and finishing after contact. She rebounds, on both ends, handles the ball to go coast to coast and score yet she also has good court vision. Her on the ball pressure and playing the passing lane also stood out
Spencer is one of those “never takes a play off” type of player and I’m talking about both ends. Watching her take over games via LIVESTREAM during the playoffs didn’t really give viewers her full game because what she does “away from the ball” is just as AMAZING Grace. Okay, off the dribble, the pull-up from mid to long, solid court vision as well as “on the ball” pressure baseline to baseline are all things I enjoy yet to seal it, she dives on the floor for loose balls and plays the passing lane
