Mariam is as efficient post player as there is in the state. She doesn’t need much room to operate and doesn’t waste much motion when operating. She keeps the ball high and gets the ball off very quickly to fend off double teams and shot blockers.
Norah Moo Norah Moo 6'1" | C Pinnacle | 2025 State AZ Pinnacle
Moo is an interior player who is getting better and better the more she plays. She will bully defenders when she can but can also finesse you with a nice face up jump shot. She has also displayed a nice jump hook that is hard to defend.
Mackenzie Buckner Mackenzie Buckner 6'0" | PF Bella Vista Prep | 2025 State AZ Bella Vista Prep
Buckner is a player that can get you from the high or low post. She has the ability to catch it at the high post and go either way and finish through contact. She also has the skill to catch it in the low post and finish with an array of moves.
Sophia Yancy Sophia Yancy 6'4" | C Desert Vista | 2025 State AZ Desert Vista
Sophia is matchup problem for defenders. She knows how to use her body to seal defenders and has good hands. Once she gets the ball where she wants it, the results are usually good. I expect a big spring/summer from Yancy.
Dianalynn Howell Dianalynn Howell 5'10" | PF Dream City Christian | 2025 State AZ Dream City Christian
Howell is a post player that’s tough to defend because she never stops. She is hardly ever going to be outworked and is very efficient around the rim. She’s equally tough to defend because she can finish with either hand.
