Continue ReadingShimoda was solid off the bench on that 16 Utah Summit team. She provides some good on ball defense with that quickness she possesses and her hands are getting more and more active out there. On offense she is a solid ball handler. She is a player that will improve a lot and could help her Olympus team in return.
One step at a time is what we are getting from Maynard as she is playing against some high level players and she is finding ways to improve her game. She tracks the ball down very well as she racks up rebound after rebound and she does it on both ends. Offensive rebounding is something she has done well. Her interior passing continues to look great and she still has a high ceiling of growth left in her game.
Chaney has done some really good things early in the Spring. When she keeps it simple she is at her best out in the perimeter as well as mixing things up in the paint. She could be a spark on the club. level as well as her high school team with the skills she has.
Fiefia is now at Ridgeline High School and her play this Spring has been solid. She is a force in the paint and she is finding a lot of success in that midpost area as she has a soft touch and she finds those longer rebounds she can coral and put back up. With a few open spots in the rotation at the high school level she is getting some good reps that will help her in the long run.
Murdock is a player that can mix it up defensively as well as bringing that attacking style of play to her Utah Summit team. She plays tough on ball and help defense. Murdock gets her hands on a lot of those balls on the help side either as deflections or blocks. She brings toughness to the is team and she will be a big time contributor at the high school level.
Satuala is a very good player and she has not taken her foot off the gas since the high school season ended. She has been playing at a high level and her game in the post is tough. She has really honed in on her turn around jumper in the paint. She defends at a high level and she can come over and help in rotations. Her game in the open floor is steady and she makes great decisions. She is a D1 player for sure and she continues to rise.
