Tia Simmons
Tia Simmons
Simmons is electrifying with the ball and that’s always important yet what’s even more important is when you show it playing up and speaking of up, her upside is, how can I put it, her ceiling has no roof. She plays with passion, I love seeing things you can’t teach, and watching her blow by defenders off the dribble as well as in transition got me going. She plays the passing lane, her on the ball defense is strong yet she showed me the stop and pop jumper and finished off the dribble strongly
Alaiyah Huckaby
Alaiyah Huckaby
Huckaby left me speechless even before I saw her on the court and just listening to her breaking players games down grabbed my attention yet I was somewhat overwhelmed with her skill set. She already understands how to seal the defender, her “hands and footwork” or better than some of these BIGS heading to the next level but she also scored after contact, putbacks included which means she rebounded on both ends. Her lateral movement on defense is also good as she stepped out of the paint to guard her man
Barnes falls into that #sizedontmatter group I love to hashtag and she was good to open things up on Saturday yet on Sunday, she went completely off on both ends. First of all, she’s fearless and her “on the ball” defense coupled with her quick hands got her steals galore yet she handled the ball afterward and saw the floor very well. She knocked down shots, her “catch and shoot” from deep was impressive but so was her hitting free throws in the clutch

Hunter did a little bit of everything the first time I saw her and one thing I love to see is progression on the court. Her range has gotten deeper, she’s dropping it off the screen, showing the stop and pop as well as the “catch and shoot” but when you factor in she was also one of the youngest players in the division and finishing after contact, I had to smile while thinking “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” so with college interest already on the table, stay tuned
Kinney is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism well on both ends. Her baseline to baseline defense was impressive, she played the passing lane, she even rebounded and ignited the break by herself yet watching her use her first step to get by the defender in the set to score was nice, so was her body control, especially after contact. She already shows she can create her shot in the set and drop the jumper in transition
Highlights
Wilson wowed me off the top doing #THROWBACK things like diving on the floor for loose balls yet her energy on both ends never let up and places her into that “never takes a play off group”. I also watched her apply defensive pressure in the set as well as the fullcourt but seeing play the passing lane and take it in to score or dish was nice, but was her pull-up jumper. Her court vision in transition also needs to be mentioned as well as her upside
