On February 28^th the 2025 Girls 1A Championship game took place at the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. The game had the #1 Joseph City Wildcats taking on the #2 Fort Thomas Apaches. Joseph City was looking to finish the job after finishing as the 1A runner up last season. Joseph City controlled the tempo with their matchup zone defense and ability to get out and finish on fast breaks. At the half Joseph City was up 35-18. The 2nd half was much of the same as the Wildcats continued to force turnovers that turned into layups. The 4th quarter saw the Apaches return the favor as their defense got their offense going. Fort Thomas got within 9 in the final minute but Joseph City held them off to capture the title 64-55.

Here I look at some of the standouts

Amber was the star of the game as she came out on fire with 18 first half points.
