<p>With the state tournaments looming and teams securing their spots for a chance to win a state title, I took a look into each district within each class to see who's headed to the state tournaments.</p>

<p>The top 4 teams got byes in the first round as the rest of the squads battle it out in loser out games. 8 seed Mercer Island beat 9 seed West Seattle, 56-49. Mercer Island would advance and West Seattle would be eliminated. 5th seed Lakeside (Seattle) beat 12th seed Bishop Blanchet, 63-32 to advance and eliminate Bishop Blanchet. 7 seed Seattle Prep beat 10th seed Holy Names, 49-35 to advance. 6 seed Roosevelt defeated 11 seed Inglemoor 48-34 to advance on.</p>

<p>Now the bracket turns into double elimination. Top seed Eastside Catholic took on 8th seed Mercer Island. Eastside Catholic would win, 47-36 to advance. Mercer Island would go to the loser out section of the bracket. 5th seed Lakeside (Seattle) would beat 4 seed Bellevue, 56-38. Bellevue would go to the loser out section of the bracket. 7th seed Seattle Prep would upset 2nd seed Liberty (Renton), 64-51. Liberty (Renton) would go to the loser out section of the bracket. 6th seed Roosevelt beat 3rd seed Garfield, 61-49 to advance. Garfield would go to the loser out section of the bracket.</p>

<p>In the semi-final part of the bracket, all of these teams will advance to the state tournament. 7th seed Seattle Prep, behind [player_tooltip player_id='660342' first='Grace' last='Renners'] and [player_tooltip player_id='688514' first='Kylin' last='Kinchen'], would beat 6th seed Roosevelt, 53-48. In the other semi-final game, Lakeside (Seattle) would upset top seed Eastside Catholic, 41-37. [player_tooltip player_id='753694' first='Lili' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='591764' first='Willa' last='Chinn'] have been dominating on the court for Lakeside. </p>

<p>In the loser out section, 3 seed Garfield would beat 2 seed Liberty (Renton), 70-60 to advance and end Liberty's season. 4th seed Bellevue would beat 8 seed Mercer Island, 72-59 to advance and end Mercer Island's season. Both Garfield and Bellevue would earn spots in the state tournament.</p>

<p>In the last round of the tournament and all teams headed to state figured out, there are still some seeding games to be played.</p>

<p>In the district championship game, 5th seed Lakeside (Seattle) played 7th seed Seattle Prep. Seattle Prep would win the district title, 56-52. </p>

<p>In the 3rd place game, 1 seed Eastside Catholic played 6th seed Roosevelt. Eastside Catholic would win, 44-43 to claim 3rd in the district tournament.</p>

<p>In the 5th place game, 3rd seed Garfield played 4th seed Bellevue. Bellevue would win, 51-48 with both teams still headed to state.</p>
