New Faces Leave Lasting First Impression : TABC Showcase

I often write that with so many platforms nowadays, there will always be players I miss, and this is one of the things that has changed over the years, but I do know that it doesn't take me long to RECOGNIZE after I see a player, providing a roster, non erroneous, is provided so here ya go Thompson falls into that "big guard that can shoot" group, and since she's a shade under "the magic number" her opportunities at the next level have her on several D1 shortlists. She creates her shot with ease while being defended, and her "catch and shoot" looks good, especially when she drops back-to-back three-pointers. She scored off the dribble and played solid defense Bussinger was another big guard who created her shot and dropped the jumper while being defended. She's a "long and athletic" guard who used a slight hesitation to get the defender off balance, allowing her to score off the dribble. She also rebounded and saw the floor Zager hit the boards and handled the ball afterward, while being defended, but on the flip, her defense was solid, both "on the ball" as well as reading the court and playing the passing lane. She also scored off the dribble and finished after contact, with solid body control Dickson is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends, and her "on the ball" pressure immediately grabbed my attention. She also has a nice first step to attack and finish, solid body control after contact, and she even gave me the hook shot for a basket Davis was another athletic guard who brought heat on both ends, and her defensive pressure in the set as well as baseline to baseline was solid, so was her attacking the basket to score. Her court vision was solid, and she played the passing lane Williams showed me she could drop the long ball from NBA range, but watching her "catch and shoot" numerous times got me going. She's a "long and athletic" guard who does a good job setting the defender up to blow by them in the set to score off the dribble. She also played solid defense Peterson stands over "the magic number" but she was one of the many #THROWBACK players who BATTLED for everything off the rim, on both ends. Her timing to block, alter, and/or) deflect shots. Her interior defense was solid, and she scored around the basket. Solid upside
