As the club season came to a close at the Southwest Finale, several WKE athletes showcased just how much growth and grit they've developed over the summer. From players who elevated their games through adversity to those who demonstrated clear improvements in skill and confidence, the finale was a testament to the hard work put in all season long. [player_tooltip player_id='844170' first='Myah' last='Korf'], Cienna Maskill, and [player_tooltip player_id='1224328' first='Jennasey' last='Stoudemire'] each stood out in their own, not just for their talent, but for their energy, strength to fight through adversity, efficient shooting, resilience, and undeniable impact on the court. Battling through adversity, she wasted no time making her presence felt in her first game of the day, coming out red-hot from beyond the arc and showing off her full offensive arsenal. Whether she was spotting up from deep, pulling up in transition, or slashing to the rim, Korf proved she could score from all areas of the floor. Her energy was infectious, and her response to early challenges showed the kind of mental toughness that coaches at the next level love to see. A gritty competitor who can shoot the lights out and elevate the game when her team needs it most, she delivered a performance that turned heads and set the tone for the rest of the tournament.

Cienna Maskill's growth over the course of the season was on full display at the Southwest Finale. From the opening tournament to this final tournament, her improvement was noticeable. Her footwork, which was once tentative and lacking confidence, now has purpose and precision, allowing her to create space, establish post position, and defend more effectively. One of the most impressive areas of development was her ball security. At the Southwest Finale, she looked composed under pressure, handled the pressure with confidence and composure. Making smart decisions with the basketball. Add in her reliability at the free throw line, where she consistently knocked down shots from the stripe, and you've got a player who has taken real strides. Maskill's commitment to growth and her ability to apply that progress when it matters most made her a steady contributor and a difference-maker down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1224328' first='Jennasey' last='Stoudemire'] came to Plano, TX ready to bring her relentless energy to the floor at the Southwest Finale, often offering a spark to the team with her aggressive play on both ends of the court. From the moment she stepped onto the court, she was a spark, flying around the court, pressuring the ball, and crashing the boards. On the offensive side of the court, she wasn't afraid to shoot and look to attack the basket. On defense, she was contesting shots and bringing physical play every possession. Her motor never stopped, saw her on the floor after loose balls and her intensity became contagious for her teammates. Her fearless approach and all-out effort made her one of the most impactful players on the floor.
