Now that all the AAU content is complete, I'd like to shift focus to the high school season this winter. There are plenty of players who will assume more prominent roles by gaining a year of experience or some other circumstance. Today, I'd like to highlight a few players who could play significant roles in the 2025-26 season.

The Neenah forward will join a program with plenty of guard talent. The 6'0 newcomer could have a role that helps balance out the Rockets' lineup. Danforth's ability to play around the basket and step out and knock down shots allows her to hurt defenses from anywhere on the floor. She is among the few newcomers who may earn a significant role in their first season of high school basketball.

Peace Petzold

The Pewaukee forward will come into her first season of high school basketball and give the Pirates something they haven't had in my time watching them play. The 6'2 forward is a physical player who can control the area around the basket. She has the physical tools that could allow her to excel in the paint on both ends of the floor. Petzold is also able to space the floor, handle the ball in transition, and move the ball on the offensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='900147' first='Madeline' last='Brown']

The Appleton North newcomer is a player who could fill the lead guard role that the Lightning need to maximize their offense. Even with the talent who has come through the doors at North over the last five years, Brown may be the best ball handler they've had by some distance. Brown's ability to create off the dribble for herself will make everyone's lives easier if the pieces fit together. I was impressed by her when I watched her over the AAU season, and she is one of the names I'm most intrigued by this season in the FVA.

[player_tooltip player_id='877604' first='Sophia' last='Milosh']

The Waterford forward will be among the most productive forwards in the state. She is a consistent player who can finish around the basket and sees the floor well for a frontcourt player. Milosh is a player who can help create open looks for her team, and that will be something that assists her group in winning games throughout the season. She isn't a flashy player by any means, but what she does is effective, and that's what's needed.
