Notable Prospects Returning From A State Title Run

We have several notable prospects returning after impressive State Tournament runs last season. Each of these players played a key role in their team's success and will look to make another deep push this year. Expect them to build on last season's momentum and continue to be impact players for their programs.

6A

Tati led all scorers in the title game for Lone Peak, including clutch free throws that put the Knights ahead in the final moments. She added three steals and was the engine that powered Lone Peak to their fourth state championship. With much of their roster returning—despite a few transfers—they remain one of the top contenders and a serious repeat threat this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='796745' first='Kennedy' last='Woolston'] || Senior

5A

As a sophomore, Maleah nailed back-to-back 3-pointers in the 5A title game, helping Bountiful pull away from West and secure the championship. Meleah was part of the 5A all-tournament team, scoring 15 in the title game. Now stepping into her junior season, she'll be relied on to keep Bountiful competitive in a class loaded with teams chasing the trophy.

[player_tooltip player_id='796795' first='Milika' last='Satuala'] || Senior

4A

In the state title game, Abby recorded a double-double and added three blocks to her stat line. Ridgeline finished a perfect 28-0 season, but with Emily Skinner gone, the team will rely heavily on Abby and [player_tooltip player_id='1166547' first='Brooke' last='Smith'] to shoulder the load and maintain the program's dominance. With two more years ahead of her to refine her game, Abby's continued growth—both in skill and size—positions her as an increasingly attractive college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1166547' first='Brooke' last='Smith'] || Senior

3A

As the state championship against Emery came down to the wire, Kambree drained the clutch 3-pointer in the final minute to secure the title for Canyon View. With several key seniors graduating, she'll take on a larger leadership role this season—but with the 3A field wide open, she and her squad will have to find new role players to have a chance to make another deep run.

1A

As the only returning “Player of the Year” from last season, Braylyn is back on the hardwood with two more seasons ahead of her—and she's only getting better. Rich, last year's title contender, looks poised to make another deep run, and Braylyn will be a big reason why. Her combination of size, versatility, and defensive prowess makes her indispensable; she can play and guard virtually any position on the floor, giving her team a matchup advantage every game.
