Class 4A:

Davis took home the state championship last season, dominating at the state tournament with their closest win coming by 12 points to Lake Washington in the quarterfinals. Sumner surprised a lot of people by making it to the title game and placing 2nd. They entered the tournament as the 8th seed and with only 2 players graduating from that team, keep an eye out. Woodinville placed third and will be seeing some key pieces come back so shoud stay in the picture once again. Chiawana took home 4th but with Malia Ruud graduating, they will have a big space in their squad to fill. Glacier Peak finished 5th last season despite being the 13 seed in the tournament. They will see a top player in Brynna Pukis graduating but will some solid pieces back.

Davis: Davis took home the 4A state title last year and to be frank, there is no reason why they won't be the favorite once again. [player_tooltip player_id='827947' first='Cheyenne' last='Hull'], the top player in the 2027 class will be returning for her junior year and is likely the favorite to win Class 4A Player of the Year. Neveah Parrish will be back as well, a quick guard who has excellent court vision and hits deep shots with ease. [player_tooltip player_id='677261' first='Averie' last='Brandt'], [player_tooltip player_id='928114' first='Isa' last='Garcia'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1051341' first='Paige' last='Gasseling'] are some other key players for this team that is going to be tough to beat.

Sumner: [player_tooltip player_id='318805' first='Olivia' last='Collins'] is a very high level player and with the ability to carry her team deep in the tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='928024' first='Madison' last='Hughes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='753673' first='Kessa' last='Nohr'] will be some other seniors who play at a high level and should play at the colligate level. Sumner is filled with players who have a lot of experience and feel like they need to get the job done after an amazing season last year. [player_tooltip player_id='676260' first='Kawehi' last='Borden'] is one of the top 2027 players in the state too, being a three level scorer and someone who can play all over the court.

Union: Union lost in the round of 12 last season at state and with only 3 players graduating from that team, I think they could be a team to watch for. [player_tooltip player_id='317132' first='Brooklynn' last='Haywood'] is a top 2 player in the 2026 class and is one of the top players in the whole state. She has one of the best deep shots in the state, getting her shot off quickly and having smooth handles to get open. [player_tooltip player_id='1051361' first='Myla' last='Larry'] is another guard on Union who will have a great season and could potentially handle the offense a little for the team to help out Haywood.

OTHER TEAMS TO WATCH: Woodinville, Lake Washington, Redmond
