Wilcox-Hildreth will lose it's three top producing starters from last Winter but that means that there will be ample opportunity for others to step up and make the most of their time on the floor. A returning SG from last Winter, that will be looked upon for some big time minutes over the next six months is [player_tooltip player_id='1359901' first='Cheyenne' last='Lieb']. In the past Lieb has been more a producing guard off the Wing off the catch as a shooter from deep. She only averaged a few stats during her Junior season but now she will return with vengeance on the mind while playing a lot of minutes. Offensively, she is going to need to put the ball on the ground a little bit more and prove she can get to her spots. Once that happens, she should be able to thrive on both ends a bit more as things dwindle down and move into 2026.

The question is not if Bridgeport will make the State Tournament. With who they play during their regular season, along with their personal on roster and it's pretty obvious to see that this group will be in Lincoln competing for a State Title by the end year. After that though? I'm not sure how far they can go. I do know that their star SG - [player_tooltip player_id='736457' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] will return this Winter for her Junior campaign, looking to make some magic. Brown has been someone that I've seen working from afar consistently all off-season so I'm excited to see what she will bring to the floor moving forward. Let's not forget: This is a big year in the eyes of recruitment for the 2027 Class. If she can go out and do her thing, she should finish off the year with respectable individual stats, a nice overall team record with a trip to State, along with an offer or two from the collegiate level depending on who is watching.

Elm Creek fell to Pender in their State Championship contest last season and they are now looking to build off of what they set in place during that run so that they can make it back for another State Title shot. The vital piece to this group this Winter will be PG - [player_tooltip player_id='865309' first='Kendal' last='Cavenee']. Not only is Cavenee going to return as their groups top scorer offensively, she is also returning as their top APG (Assist Per Game) player as well. Over the years this is someone that has thrived attacking off of the dribble and that won't change moving forward but now I'm sure more teams will be locked in on Cavenee in their defensive game plan prior to tip off. If Elm Creek can respond to that in real team and make adjustments, they should put up some respectable victories once again this Winter.

Bennington looked well seasoned last Winter with a very young group. They made the State Tournament and eventually fell to Skutt Catholic in the Semifinals. This season I predict this group will make it back to Lincoln once again. Something that is do-able but only if certain players do their part and come prepared for the season. Someone that will be a crucial factor in this equation is PG - [player_tooltip player_id='893232' first='Harper' last='Bohaboj']. Bohaboj led this team last season as a Sophomore with 140 Assists on the year. (The next highest for this team being 80.) She also led the team in Steals as well. A lot of people call Basketball a position-less game today but I tend to disagree. When you have a true top Point Guard with natural vision, creative passing ability, and a calculated head on their shoulders who can adapt - there is nothing better and that's what we have here. As long as Bohaboj is ready to ride, this group she continue to see a lot of success.
