This year's crop of Freshmen are wasting no time in shaking up the Wisconsin high school scene. Here are just a few that have caught my eye in the first two weeks:

[player_tooltip player_id='874552' first='Ady' last='Christian']-Mayville

The 5'5" Christian is off to a hot start showing a complete game putting up 52 points, 18 assists, and 25 steals in Mayville's first three games (all wins). The Cardinals, winners of only 5 games last season, look well on their way to completing a turnaround with Ady leading the charge.

Leah Lord-Prentice

Hard to find enough superlatives to describe the start that the 5'8" Lord had to start her first season. She burst on the scene putting up 28 points and 19 rebounds in her debut, against Spencer, and then followed up with 21 and 16 at Bruce. Game 3 was a bit of an off game, which is to be expected for a freshman, but I have no doubt she will get back on track starting tomorrow against Chequamegon and finish the season as one of Division 5's best players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225521' first='Kennedy' last='Konkol']-Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln

The 5'9" Konkol is off to a solid start, to her freshman season after struggling a bit (7 points) in a loss against D1 powerhouse Neenah. Since then she has put up 74 points (22.3 ppg) including 92% from the free-throw line, which has translated into a 3 game winning streak for Rapids.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241213' first='Evelyn' last='Borcherding']-Regis

Hard to think that a 6'5" player could get over shadowed but Borcherding does not seem to get as much pub as her high scoring teammate [player_tooltip player_id='751257' first='EllaMay' last='Cooper']. I think that will start to change with the start that she put up in her first four games for the undefeated Ramblers scoring 42 points, grabbing 46 rebounds, and blocking 13 shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1377753' first='Evelyn' last='Nienhuis']-Sheboygan South

The 5'8" Nienhuis has had a very efficient start to her freshman campaign scoring 66 points (22 per game) shooting 42.9% from the floor, 37.5% from three, and 75% from the free-throw line. Add in 13 rebounds, 13 assists, and 12 steals and there is a lot to be excited about for the Redwings this season and their 3-0 start.

[player_tooltip player_id='879596' first='Hattie' last='Grishaber']/[player_tooltip player_id='879916' first='Adalyn' last='Engle']/[player_tooltip player_id='879591' first='Lauren' last='Vosters']-Little Chute

Little Chute has had a very difficult three year run winning only six games in the process. These three fantastic freshmen have returned the spark to the Mustangs program putting up 87 points in two blowout wins to start the season! Grishaber is leading the way with 17 ppg and 8.5 rpg. Engle is right behind her with 14.5 ppg, and Vosters with 12 ppg for a team that only scored a little over 25 last season. I'm looking forward to see how this talented trio handles conference play in the tough North Eastern conference.
