SRMHS Invitational: Junior Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Southeast Raleigh Thanksgiving Invitational was hosted last weekend with teams coming in to play right after the holiday.  I was able to catch some of the games Friday and every game Saturday, so we have a lot of athletes to talk about!  Let's dive into the juniors that stood out at the event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block anticipating what her opponents were going to do grabbing the steal on defense and pushing it up the court to score on solo fast breaks.  She sees the floor well knowing how to draw her defenders towards her to open up the fast break for her teammates.  She pulls up quickly knocking down her jumper as her defender drops further away.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> on the court getting her hands in the way and going after the ball no matter what it took.  She's quick handling the ball herself making nice moves to get to the opening and find her teammates.  She had an explosiveness to get to the ball as the pass by her opponents was attempting to make its way to it target.  She showed off her range shooting the ball, too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- the ball well finding her open teammates, and she used steals to push the tempo the other direction.  She elevates up and over her opponents making her shot count, and she's explosive getting up the court going the other direction.  She had a nice spin move for two points easily losing her defender, and she turned right around to grab the steal for two more points.  She had a big three point play scoring through contact and finishing from the free throw line to bring her team within one point on a big comeback.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- range knocking down two three pointers to start the game, and it didn't stop there.  She anticipated what her opponents were going to do jumping in front of passing lanes.  She attacked the basket even making three points the old fashioned way.  She took care of things in the paint blocking shots.  She did well bringing the ball up the court and making the dish to her teammates filling the open handling the ball getting to the rim, and she can show off her range shooting the ball around the perimeter.  She uses every bit of her length on defense jumping in front of passing lanes.  She gets
