<p>Week 7 in 5A provided some interesting action. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/01/5a-no-4-springfield-stuns-4a-no-1-stayton-56-31/">Springfield dominated 4A No. 1-ranked Stayton 56-31 on Monday</a>, Silverton hung on to upset Lebanon 45-41 in rival territory on Tuesday, and Bend narrowly upset Crook County 55-51 on Friday. West Albany still sits at the top of the Mid-Willamette Conference table with 4 straight wins.</p>

<p>South Albany dropped a nonleague game to West Salem 60-64, but bounced back in league play to dominate Woodburn 67-28. The RedHawks go to Dallas on Tuesday and host Silverton on Friday.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">2. Crater (12-3, 3-0)</h2>

<p>Crater secured two more dominant and high-scoring league wins — 81-10 at Ashland and 61-19 against Thurston. The Comets host Eagle Point on Tuesday and Churchill on Friday.</p>

<p>Springfield is on a 12-game winning streak after picking up 3 Ws last week. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/01/5a-no-4-springfield-stuns-4a-no-1-stayton-56-31/">The Millers defeated 4A No. 1-ranked Stayton 56-31</a> in a nonleague match, and dominated Churchill 70-13 and Eagle Point 56-21 in their first two league games of the season. They go to Thurston on Thursday and host Ashland on Friday.</p>
