Today, we're shifting our attention to the postseason and highlighting some potential Cinderella candidates. I'll post my filled-out sectional brackets for every division. We'll start with some Cinderella candidates and finish with some brackets.

Hortonville

The Polar Bears earned a No. 8 seed in Sectional 1 in Division 1, and there is a path for them to reach a Sectional Final. If they advance past Holmen in their gym, they will face a rematch with the No. 1 seed SPASH on the road, where they defeated the Panthers earlier this season. I also like them in a potential Sectional Semifinal against De Pere or Eau Claire Memorial on a neutral floor. Hortonville has a backcourt that includes players like [player_tooltip player_id='533074' first='Kardyn' last='Peppler'], [player_tooltip player_id='892249' first='Morgan' last='Mocadlo'], [player_tooltip player_id='751269' first='Madelyn' last='Springer'], and others, who can control the game at the point of attack.

Waukesha West

Waukesha West finished at the bottom of the Classic Eight this season, but that isn't descriptive of the talent on the Wolverines' roster. [player_tooltip player_id='533083' first='Taylor' last='Gifford'] is a solid stretch big who can space the floor, rebound, and use her length to defend around the basket. Having upperclassmen like Payton Hisel and [player_tooltip player_id='751242' first='Ava' last='Spratt'] also adds some diversity for the Wolverines offense. They are the No. 8 seed in their half of the sectional in Division 2, but I think they could give No. 1 seed, Elkhorn, a run for their money. There is a non-zero chance they find themselves in a Sectional Semifinal.

Milton

The Milton Red Hawks were a 20-win team last season and gave themselves a gauntlet of a schedule this season. They aren't a 20-win team at this point in the season, but they will be as battle-tested as anyone in Division 2. They have an experienced backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id='888860' first='Nayeli' last='Kilen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='881307' first='Kylee' last='Buttchen'], who can handle the ball and create their shots off the dribble. It also helps that they have some depth with players like [player_tooltip player_id='884030' first='Aubrey' last='Klug'], [player_tooltip player_id='1220819' first='Sydney' last='Grady'], and [player_tooltip player_id='883195' first='Allison' last='Kojo'], who can make plays on both ends of the floor. However, the growth from [player_tooltip player_id='879894' first='Mady' last='Vind'] on the wing could be the difference for the Red Hawks to get over the hump and potentially reach a state tournament.

New Berlin Eisenhower

Whenever there is an oddball team from a solid conference in a sub-sectional without another team from said conference, my ears perk up. Eisenhower was the ‘Best of the Rest' in the Woodland-West this season and had a win over a talented Pius XI team. The Lions have some reliable players who can make playson both ends of the floor. Their path seems to be Greendale, Whitnall, and Greenfield, all of which are Woodland-East programs. They should also have players with all-conference honors in the West, like [player_tooltip player_id='509689' first='Alana' last='Mainville'] and [player_tooltip player_id='874979' first='Sophia' last='Hermann'].
