In this piece you will get to know a handful of WL Rated Players out of our PGH system, that know what they are doing out there on the court. They might be on the WL but each of these prospects plays convincing basketball and they are going to continue to get better as they get older. There is no doubt about that.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

Ottumwa put together a nice season the last six months, beating most of their opponents that they matched up against. A big reason for their success was their group of Freshman that came into the program at the Varsity level. One of those players, who really helped anchor them in the middles Blake Goldsmith. Goldsmith started most of their games and she lead the team in total rebounds throughout the Winter. She also showed her worth near the basket on offense with her ability to score in open space and with smaller individuals on her near the blocks. If this, "Big 3", of their 2029 Class can stay together for the next three seasons, they should end their high school careers with a lot of accomplishes and an insane overall record as a whole.

You can see that Ashlynn Long is coming into her own as she gets older and gets some more experience under her belt. Long, the 5'8 SG, plays a lot like her older sister. She isn't the type that wants the praise but she is always going to put in the work to be a good player and an even better teammate to those around her. She has a solid scoring stroke and she does a good job of turning a dead play into something when she is competing with total confidence. I expect Long to get better and better until she reaches her college years. She has a good team around her and she is fairly skilled around so now it's all about continue to work within the process.

Whitmore hasn't had her chance to shine on the Varsity court yet but that'll happen in due time. This last season Whitmore was only a Freshman on the floor and she got into about 10 games in total. In those games she recorded a few stats here and there but nothing too pressing. The promise for Whitmore in the future comes because of two factors: her height and her coordination. This is a player standing at 6'0 at the SF position. She is decent in this game right now and she is working to become better as she grows up. If Whitmore can play the 4 spot for St. Edmond's next season and she can stick on the floor, they are going to win a LOT of games when you consider that they will be starting 6'0 and 6'3 at their 4/5 positions.

You have to like the skill and situational awareness that Asjed Bokhary brings to the table. She understands when to drive and suck in the defense for an easy assist to someone on the outside. She can finish in a number of different ways at the rim when challenged by the bucket. She defends her own position just as well a plays the right way in general, which is what you love to see from an outside perspective. Bokhary is competing with Lady Pure Prep this Spring and Summer in AAU. She should be able to string together some nice outings as the season continues on. She just has to play within her own ability and the rest will be history.

The bright light for Camanche High School the last couple of years has been Jenna Dunlap as their 6' Power Forward and their team knows it. You can tell they know it by how often they try to get Dunlap the ball in favorable positions underneath. She consistently has to be moving within their system as they try to swing and continue to move without hesitation, making it tough for the defense to keep track of where they matchup might be. If you strip away everything else and just look at Dunlap's size, skill , and determination - you can tell she could do some things at the college level one day. As long as she stays in love with the game, I don't see why she wouldn't be able to impact a program at the Forward position in the foreseeable future.
