Heartland Hoopfest- Saturday 13U Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I covered the Heartland Hoopfest this weekend in Mattoon, Illinois and I covered the younger players this week, the 13s and 14s.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for a look at some of the players over the weekend, first up will be a look at some of the 13 and under players that I thought stood out earlier today. To me it's much different evaluating middle school players, they are still strongly in the fundamental learning stage. Slashes well, able to know where she needs to be. On the defensive end, she anticipated the ball well, reads and reacts to cause mistakes. Smooth free throw shooter, can knock them down. Good handles, active and anticipates well. Her grittiness shows her ability to be a good prospect. She brings the ball up with good footwork.
