Big Shots Rock Hill Memorial Classic: Road Warriors

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It will not be long before the initial portions of the 2026 travel season will be in the books and top prospects will reunite with their high school teams for June's camp month.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prior to that taking place, a number of those teams called Rock Hill their home for the weekend. The Rock Hill Memorial Classic took place this past weekend at the Rock Hill Sports &amp; Events Center – one of South Carolina's newest venues. It features nine courts – which include high school, college and professional-range 3-point lines. The venue's main court even includes an international-range 3-point arc.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We at Prep Girls Hoops were on hand at the mostly boys' event that featured a few girls high school teams. Those teams had the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of Women's Basketball Hall of Famer Carolyn Peck. She led an offensive onslaught that overwhelmed Team USC Lady Fusion with 11 points. Quiller displays her toughness with her willingness to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line. One can place her in a team's lineup either at the point or as a two guard. Rebounding and ball distribution are two other strong points of Quiller's game. She concluded Saturday's game against Team USC Lady Fusion with eight points. Joyner would conclude the get-together with a flourish as she came away with defensive plays that became clear path layups. She is more of a pure point guard who also flourishes as a distributor the ball. As she transitions to senior status with the Knights, Joyner completed a junior season where she also played in all 27 of Evans' contests last season. Vital to what the Christiansburg standout was able to get accomplished was her proficiency from 3-point range. Hester drained a pair of triples in the second half to give a boost to her team's offensive attack. Efficient running of the floor is another of Hester's strong attributes. Hester has experience on the junior varsity Blue Demons assembling and she displayed her varsity-level talent on Saturday. She proved to be very efficient on the receiving end of passes from her teammates that she converted into high-percentage shots. At six feet, her height advantage can come in useful as an interior scorer as well as a rebounder and that height is complimented by her length. Massey was part of a 2025-26 Blue Demons team that greatly improved its fortunes against district opponents. Christiansburg improved from one win in the River Ridge District to seven RRD victories in large part thanks to Massey's play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
