Marana Tigers Players To Watch

I had the opportunity to attend a recent practice where I got a "behind the scenes" look at the bright young future of the Tigers. Thank you Coach Perez for allowing me this opportunity. Getting a chance to watch Sadie play a few times last season and now getting to see her in a practice setting gave me a chance to really see the work ethic and potential she has. She has great footwork in the post. She has been working on her perimeter shooting and it showed as she was hitting the three ball consistently at practice. McRae is developing a terrific outside shot that will elevate her game this upcoming season. It wouldn't be crazy to expect her to average over ten points and ten rebounds this upcoming high school season. She showed her ability to handle and advance the ball. She is developing into a very dynamic player. She is very quick on her feet. Makes quick and effective decisions. Can score the ball very well with either hand at the basket. Has very good awareness. Passes are strong and on target. She has a nice mid range off the dribble. Attacks the paint with confidence and makes accurate passes through traffic. Defensively she moves laterally very well and applies strong pressure on her opponent. She attacks the paint with confidence and can score well on taller defenders with her moves. A high percentage shooter off the pass from the mid range and the perimeter. Showed good confidence and strength on the defensive end. Although she is a smaller guard she kept opposing forwards from getting to their spots in the paint. Very strong physically. She has a great handle on the ball. Stays low and is explosive. Jordan plays with a lot of confidence and maturity. Showed top notch vision and a strong passer. she is very skilled and makes great moves.Jordan is a strong on ball defender and put the "older players" in uncomfortable situations with her aggressive defensive pressure. Great work ethic in the practice setting and did very well in shooting and defensive drills. She has a very strong frame and a lethal wingspan on the defensive end. Uses a good pump fake to dribble into a high percentage mid range jumper. Strong and skilled in the post. Knows how to use her feet and can score very well off the glass. Great rebounding ability. She led the offense last season and will be relied heavily on this season. Woyee is very talented on the court and more importantly a high character person. Very skilled dribbler with great speed and good vision. Plays with a pass first mentality and does a great job getting the ball to its target. Does well getting her paint touches and can score off the glass through contact very well. In my opinion Woyee is one of the top guards in the 2029 Southern Arizona class and I have zero doubt she will continue to prove that. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
