MI State Tournament- 14U stellar PG

The point guards at the Michigan State Tournament were solid in the 14U age group. Here are some who caught my eye with their skillset over the weekend.

I really liked her style of play, she was aggressive with her on defense, she also moved well without the ball while she handled the point guard spot on the offensive end. She has range, steady, focused with a good upside.

Ayla is an energetic point guard with a nice basketball IQ for her age. All these kids have a lot to develop with their game, but she was solid and poised with the basketball. She got back and played defense well and she showed good footwork.

This entire team plays very scrappy, aggressive defense, and this young lady is one of the main contributors. Love her energy and the fact that she is able to force teams into mistakes. Can take the ball to the rim and finish and does not let the physical play affect her.

Shifty guard who loves to talk out there, she does a great job in communicating. Banked in a three after pushing the ball up court in transition. As the game went on It just seemed like she was in total control with excellent crossover skills, and leadership.

She has good handles, shifty with the ball and runs the floor. Has solid leadership for this team. In transition, she is a solid point guard with good leadership skills. Defensively she can lock you down, with active hands, she can force mistakes.

Keep an eye on this young baller, playing up one year, the seventh grader has got the skill level to make some major noise when she gets into high school. But for now, she just continues to work on her game. The word on her is she's got great energy and is fearless. Watch her as she continues to grow her game this summer!!
