Who are Those Under the Radar Guards in the New 2027 Rankings

Here is a look at some talented guards in the new rankings who operate under the radar, but produce very positive results for their respective teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='876227' first='Kate' last='Jenkerson'] (Farmington): A talented 5'6" point guard who led a young Knights team to a 21-6 record and a conference championship. She earned Class 5 All-State honors for her efforts. She is a consummate floor leader with good quickness and the ability to distribute the basketball. She is also a capable three-level scoring threat with 3-point shooting range and a reliable mid-range jumper off the dribble.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='874625' first='Mallory' last='Moss'] (Richland): A 5'8" guard who is a very talented small-school player in the SWMO area. She has good athleticism and she attacks the basket well and can play off two feet in the lane effectively. She can also create her own shot off the dribble and hit the 3-pointer when she has room. She was a Class 2 All-District and an All-Conference selection as a junior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1309431' first='Saylor' last='Johnson'] (Reeds Spring): A 5'7" point guard from the SWMO area who has excellent court vision and can pass the ball from a variety of different angles. She makes sure that her teammates eat at each position. She is a capable offensive player from all three levels, including from 3-point range where she has a quick release on her shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>DeMajai Wallace (Raytown South): A 5'6" point guard who is a hidden gem in the Kansas City area. She impacts the game at both ends of the floor with her speed and quickness. As a junior, she averaged 16.7 points and four rebounds a game. She was also excellent on the defensive end as she averaged nearly three steals and a block per game, which is excellent for a point guard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1117265' first='Melanie' last='Moore'] (Paris): A 5'6" point guard who is an impact player for her team as a primary scoring threat and a playmaker. She is equally effective at both tasks. She creates well off the dribble and she can change speeds and directions to keep defenders off balance. She also makes the game easier for her teammates with her ability to pass the ball and keep everyone involved.
