Everyone knows the high-profile players—the ones with the spotlight and attention. On Friday, we focused on a different group: the players who caught us off guard. The ones who may not have the recognition yet, but have the same kind of potential and are starting to show it.

The highlight of the night was watching Josie, one of the most underrated and under-the-radar players in her class. Her confidence stood out immediately, especially in how she attacked the paint against players who were bigger and stronger—it didn't slow her down at all. She challenged shots, went after blocks, and drove straight into traffic with success.

Offensively, she can score at all levels, getting to the rim or knocking down shots from well beyond the arc. Defensively, her fearlessness disrupted opposing bigs, forcing bad passes and altering shots, making her a constant problem on both ends of the floor.

Before we even knew who we were watching, Maylee stood out right away. Her speed jumps off the floor, and she has a knack for getting into traffic and coming away with the ball.

She moves well without it, finding ways to get open and create opportunities for herself even when tightly guarded, making her a constant presence on the floor.

Alyvia is still early in her development, but the skill set is already clear. For her size, her ball-handling stands out—once she makes her move, even smaller, quicker guards struggle to keep up. She's able to get where she wants on the floor and does it with control.

She also shows good awareness in traffic, especially on rebounds, where she can poke the ball free and create space for herself. With her combination of size, handles, and feel for the game, she's a player to keep an eye on and one who has the potential to rise in the rankings.

Faith may not have filled up the scoring column, but her impact showed up in all the little things that help teams win. She was active off the ball—setting solid screens, finding outlets, and creating space for teammates to attack.

If she can continue to build her offensive production to match that effort, she has the potential to become a key piece moving forward.

Brynlee shows a high basketball IQ, consistently anticipating where the ball is going—whether on a pass or a dribble—and using that to create deflections and disrupt plays.

One of her most impressive traits was her ability to stay composed under heavy pressure. Even when swarmed by multiple defenders, she found ways to escape, protect the ball, and clear the possession.

Everyone knows the high-profile players—the ones with the spotlight and attention. On Friday, we focused on a different group: the players who caught us off guard. The ones who may not have the recognition yet, but have the same kind of potential and are starting to show it.
