As May came to a close, the Texas Tipoff 16U division provided a competitive environment filled with talented prospects, intense matchups, and opportunities for players to showcase their abilities against quality competition. Talented players from Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas were all showing solid play going into summer school ball season, but these players stood out! Through consistent production, high-level effort, and impactful play, these names emerged as some of the weekend's most impressive performers.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2026/06/txtipoff2.png?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1864629" /></figure>    A smart and efficient guard, she consistently made good decisions out of the ball screen, using it to get downhill and put pressure on the defense. She showed poise in the mid-range game, knocking down pull-up jumpers while also finishing effectively at the basket. When defenders went under screens or helped off, she proved capable of making them pay as a reliable spot-up shooter.     Rochell has a physical and aggressive presence! She consistently attacked the interior gaps to find cracks in the defense and finish through contact. Defensively, she stays engaged and active with her nose over the ball, applying constant pressure and creating disruption in the press where she generates steals. Her relentless motor and nonstop energy make her a pest for opposing ball handlers and ensure her impact is felt on both ends of the floor.     Standing around 6'2, Jackson has a strong interior presence, she consistently keeps the ball high and secures rebounds at a high rate, often outworking opponents on the glass. On one possession, she showed just how dominant she can be, operating like a rebounding magnet and controlling the boards through effort and positioning. Her length also stands out defensively, where she provides solid help protection and creates problems for opposing offenses, including a major impact performance in the championship game with a block party. She also has the quickness to jump around defense on the block for steals on attempted entry passes.     Chapman had an impressive weekend. A versatile small forward with strong decision-making in the post, she catches, pivots well, and understands how to read help defense to either finish inside or kick the ball back out for a repost opportunity. She shows good patience and control with a smooth turnaround fadeaway, often absorbing contact and being rewarded with trips to the free-throw line. In addition, she displays a confident and consistent mid-range jumper that adds another layer to her scoring ability.     A lengthy guard who uses her frame well at the position, she shows poise with a strong hesitation move and keeps her head up to break pressure while consistently seeing the floor and creating for teammates. In transition, she is at her best, using her speed to get downhill before elevating smoothly into a pull-up jumper on a dime. Her ability to change pace and stay in control makes her a tough cover in open space.
